His Girlfriend Seemed Too Good to Be True

He ended the call heartbroken. He cried the entire night before falling asleep at 3 a.m. It was the first time he'd cried since 8th grade.

The following morning, the girl visited him with her parents even though he asked her to come alone. The parents thought he'd asked her over to discuss engagement plans.

The man handed her pregnancy tests, and she was in disbelief. She yelled at him, something she'd never done before.

Instead of obliging, she called her parents in, and all three began screaming at the man. Having had enough, he asked them all to leave.

An hour later, his girlfriend, her parents, and his parents arrived at his home and told him the truth. The woman was never actually pregnant.

His parents began explaining how they feared he was getting too old for marriage. They wanted him to get married at the age that he was and give them grandchildren like any obedient son would.

They went on to say that usually, in arranged marriages, it was okay not to get to know the spouse because the parents had already chosen the best. The man felt weak upon hearing all this.

To make matters worse, the man discovered that the parents were waiting for the couple to be intimate so they could continue with the marriage plans. He was devastated.

"All my life, I did exactly what my parents wanted; always scored high and never asked for anything," he explained.

The man told all of them to leave his home. Initially, his parents started getting mad, saying he should do as they said because they knew best.

It was only when he cursed in their native language that they realized he was serious. They left, and the man decided he was through with all of them.
