Noah Kahan is an up-and-coming artist who has had his parents' support from the start of his career. The singer has praised his father's musical abilities and revealed his mother's talent as an author who cultivated his way with words in his music.

The singer's mother and father were very transparent with their son, including about their hardships, and Noah Kahan revealed that talking about his parents — including the anger he admitted to harboring against them — has helped him better navigate his home life.

Kahan and his mom and dad spoke freely about their troubles, including the traumas they inherited from their parents and the ones they passed down to him. However, the singer noted that he never blamed his parents for his issues. Kahan shared:

"She (his mom) and my dad always allowed me to talk openly about what I was feeling and my mental health. We spoke a lot about their mental health being passed down to us. And that is how it is, right? You get a lot of stuff from your parents, and mine were always very open about it."
