Snow Lopes Was Lisa Lopes' Daughter & Raised Her to Be Health Conscious

Snow Lopes is the late Lisa Lopes' daughter, who appeared in her music video. Despite her mother's fame, Snow has lived away from the spotlight. While she has an Instagram account, her page is private.

Lisa Lopes became a mother in 2001 when she adopted her friend's daughter Snow Lopes. Even though Lisa had a busy career, she created time for her daughter, often bonding with her through different activities.

In the short time that Lisa was in Snow's life, she had taught her how to live a healthy lifestyle by being mindful of what she ate. Unfortunately, Snow's mother died following a tragic car accident. Her death shook the entertainment industry and the world at large.

Lisa Lopes' Daughter Appeared in Her Music Video

Snow Lopes was adopted by Lisa in 2001 when she was nine years old. Her biological mother and Lisa were good friends. Snow maintained a relationship with her biological mother even after being adopted by Lisa, who had a busy career.

Despite her packed schedule, Lisa made an effort to spend time with Snow, assisting her with schoolwork. She even featured Snow in her music video titled "The Block Party." Lisa was consistently mindful of Snow's dietary choices and ensured her daughter maintained a healthy diet.

While Snow remains relatively private, she has a brother named Jamal Lopes, whom her mother also adopted.

Snow Lopes' Mother Died at Age 30

Snow's mother passed away on April 25, 2002, at the age of 30, in Honduras, a small country in Central America, where she had been doing charity work. Towards the end of her trip to Honduras, Snow's mother decided to rent a car and, along with six of her guests, embarked on a journey to a small village called Roma.

Unfortunately, it was during this excursion that Snow's mother was involved in a tragic accident. Reports indicate Lisa was attempting to overtake another vehicle when an oncoming truck suddenly appeared from the opposite direction. Lisa tried to respond to the situation by swerving but, unfortunately, lost control of the car.

According to the surviving passengers, the vehicle rolled several times before resting upside down in a ravine. An autopsy report revealed that Snow's mother died from a cranial fracture.

Snow Lopes' Mother Was Engaged at the Time of Her Death

Snow's mother was reportedly engaged to former NFL star Andre Rison. In an interview, Andre recalled the heartbreaking moment when he received the devastating news about Lisa from his brother, who happens to be actress Storm Reid's father.

Andre shared that he was on stage performing when his brother informed him about Lisa's death, leaving him shattered and devastated by the news. Lisa, better known by her stage name, Left Eye, was born on May 27, 1971, in Pennsylvania. She was buried in Hillandale Memorial Gardens in Georgia.

Despite her mother's fame, Snow Lopes has lived away from the spotlight. She does have an Instagram account, but her page is set to private and is dedicated with the words "RIP Lisa Lopes" in her bio, indicating her remembrance of her late mother. While Snow remains relatively private, she has a brother named Jamal Lopes, whom her mother also adopted.

Lisa was a member of one of the best-selling R&B girl groups, TLC, alongside Tionne "T-Boz," Watkins, and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas. In the wake of Lisa's passing, Tionne and Rozonda expressed their deep mourning.

In a statement, they emphasized the close-knit bond they shared, having grown up together, and described themselves as a tight-knit family. They conveyed the profound loss, expressing that they had lost a sister.
