The vision came together because the family had already started building a collection of antique carved panels and doors. "I have a thing for doors. I always think of them as a threshold to something new," expressed Jada.

The 25,000-square-foot home is equipped with nine bedrooms and 13 bathrooms. There is a meditation lounge, which is reportedly Jada's favorite place to enjoy time alone, a pool room, a home theatre, and a recording studio, where their daughter Willow allegedly recorded her hit song "Whip My Hair." Will also has his own man cave filled with music and sports equipment.

The home is interestingly carved and detailed, as seen in the kitchen. Jada gave fans a sneak peek in one of her Instagram stories. It has a huge and meticulously carved island, a ton of counter space, and a pizza oven. Wooden cabinets encompass the walls and dining space. The room also carries through the yellow and earthy tones that run through the house with wooden floors.

The house also features an eye-grabbing staircase with detailed metallic work. There are stained glass windows, wrought-iron railings, fireplaces, and wooden-beamed ceilings.

Despite how big the property is, it is described to still have a very intimate feel because of the personal details that went into it. The family wanted to walk into the home and feel the labor and love that went into every piece inside.

Will and Jada also have house rules for their children. As much as the house is a shared space for their family, the kids need to remember a few things. "Actually, we tell our kids ‘you don’t have a room, that’s our room and we are letting you borrow it," Will explained.

The kids can use their rooms however they please, but they need to understand that the house belongs to their parents, so Will emphasized that giving them the responsibility to keep them clean is perfectly reasonable.

The full renovation was finished in 2010, and the family moved in in 2011, but Jada said the home was ever-changing the more she and Will figured out how they wanted to live in it. But at its core, it will always be representative of their shared love as a family.

Unfortunately, the detailed Smith home caught fire in 2021, but it was mostly in the basement, leaving everyone in the house safe. The "Bad Boys" star had a chance to work on the house during the coronavirus pandemic.
