Katarina Miketin Is an Enterpreneur and a Model Who Landed a Maxim Cover

Katarina Miketin is a jack of many trades. The swimwear model and businesswoman is a two-time graduate with extensive experience in the finance sector. But while her work speaks for itself, she keeps her personal life private.

In December 2021, a new face graced the cover of Maxim Australia, and it was none other than Katarina Miketin. Her collaboration with the magazine led to her widespread recognition as the model stunned in gorgeous swimwear ensembles.

Before its release, Katarina Miketin spoke to Maxim about her roots, work experience, and recent endeavors. She also briefly touched on her personal life, revealing she was a mother, and discussed her dating preferences.

Katarina Miketin Is of Serbian Descent

Miketin is the youngest of three siblings, born to Serbian parents who immigrated from Serbia (formerly Yugoslavia) to the United States to pursue a better life for their children. She shared that her parents didn't speak English when they relocated, but they worked hard to provide.

The couple owned rentals and had Miketin and her siblings working there, too. "I am thankful they instilled this strong work ethic within us — it is what drives me every day," Miketin said of her parents. She added that she felt lucky to have grown up in a household that didn't hold her back and that she always had support.

Katarina Miketin's Work and Education

Between 2005 and 2006, Miketin did a 12-month Wells Fargo College of Credit program, learning about "fundamental economic principles, financial analysis, statistical analysis, understanding of the credit and loan cycle," and more.

In 2007, she completed the US Bank Omega Performance Program, which focused on more financial and economic concepts. By then, Miketin had already begun working in the banking and finance industry, as her online resume indicates that she started in 2002 and stopped in 2020.

Additionally, she attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The College of St. Scholastica, though it's unclear when. During her time there, Miketin was the President of The National Honor Society for Psychology.

She was also the Vice President of the Psychology Association of St. Scholastica (PASS). In 2015, she graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management.

Following her exit from finance, she established Miketin Real Estate Investments and Miketin Outdoors, Inc., launched one month apart in 2021. Miketin, a football fan, also owns a bike shop called OneTen Cycles.

Miketin revealed she had a daughter during her Maxim interview. Presumably speaking of her MBA, she shared that one of her proudest moments was when her family flew to Chicago to watch her graduate; however, this moment was particularly special because her daughter was also present.

"My little girl came and gave me flowers. I was one of ten females out of 70 people in my class. I was glad she could see me achieve such an honor," she gushed. A mom, businesswoman, and influencer like Sazan Hendrix, Alex Vailas, and MANOU, she sets aside quality time with her daughter despite a demanding work schedule.

As for her love life, she keeps it away from the public eye. Although it's unknown if she's currently dating, Miketin once shared that she didn't have "a type." Still, the qualities she sought in a potential partner included loyalty, drive, and a love for healthy living.
