Aleksandra Zelenskaya is the eldest child and only daughter of Olena Zelenska and Volodymyr Zelensky. She also has a younger brother, Kyrylo Zelenskiy.

Insight into the young adult's personality is rare, as she is not a public figure like her parents and does not have public social media accounts. However, her mother has shared some details about her.

Oleksandra Zelenska Protects Parents with Her Love

Born Александра Зеленська in July 2004, the Ukrainian transliteration of her name is Oleksandra Zelenska. She has a seemingly different last name from her father due to surnames being gendered in Slavic languages.

On the night of the invasion, she went on social media to see the extent of the action.

Even before the world's attention was on them, Volodymyr and Olena were selective about sharing content about their two children on social media.

In one of the few family portraits of them in the public domain, the president and his son have superhero masks playfully painted on their faces.

The world leader shared this photo in June 2019, saying, "To better understand children, sometimes you have to become a child yourself." His wife shared a version of the snap, thanking their kids for "protecting" her and her husband with their love.

In a touching birthday tribute for Oleksandra in 2019, the First Lady wrote, "The best little girl in the land! Happy birthday! 15 years of you teaching me how to be a mom! I love you!"

On the night of the invasion, she went on social media to see the extent of the action, but her mother was impressed by how well she did without devices while they were hiding for the first few weeks. "It turns out her phone addiction was not all that strong," Olena said.

Oleksandra kept up with her studies and followed the news closely once restrictions on their media use were slacked. She assists with cooking.

Oleksandra Zelenska's Field of Study Mirror's her Father's

A few weeks before her daughter's 19th birthday, she revealed that the teenager had chosen law as her field of study, "It seems to me that she chose well because she likes it and it suits her." It was also her dad, Volodymyr Zelensky's chosen field of study at University.

The mother of two noted that while they consulted with their daughter on her studies, they wanted her to "spread her wings" and choose her path.

Olena spoke to the BBC about the "limitations" they experienced. She empathized with her daughter, who would not have the opportunity to "dream of traveling, of new sensations, emotions," as people her age do.
