Alison Botha's Injuries and Abduction
When she returned to her apartment, she found her parking space had been occupied by someone else, so she ended up settling for a spot far from her home. As she was picking up her clean laundry from the driver's seat before leaving, someone opened the car and pulled out a knife, threatening to kill her if she caused any alarm.
The man, who identified himself as Clinton, occupied the driver's seat and drove into the darkness, and his friend would later join him in the car. Instead of releasing her, the perpetrators took her to a secluded area outside the city, where they sexually assaulted her, inflicted multiple stab wounds, and left her on the brink of death.
Now a mom of two, Botha has served as an inspiration to victims who have encountered heinous acts and lived to tell the story.
Determined to survive or die trying, Botha made her way to the road. Luckily, with the help of good samaritans, she was rescued and received medical attention on time. The criminals, whom she identified as Frans and Theuns, were sentenced to life imprisonment. Still, the incident left Botha with physical scars and emotional wounds that took time to heal.
