Jermaine Jakes Is One of T.D. Jakes' Twins Who Is Involved in Music & Ministry
Jermaine Jakes is one of the twin sons of faith leader Thomas Dexter "T.D." Jakes. Despite maintaining a relatively private life, he has participated in various events within his family's ministry.
For many years, Bishop T.D. Jakes, a prominent Christian leader in the United States, has proudly shared his insights into his spirituality and family life, including his son, Jermaine.
Jermaine shares very little about his life in public. Nevertheless, his occasional social media presence and insights from one of his father's books have provided fascinating perspectives on his persona.

What Jermaine Jakes Do
Jermaine was born in 1980 to Serita and T.D. Jakes, the founder of The Potter's House (TPH), a multicultural, non-denominational church in Dallas, Texas. The couple's son has accomplished much in his life.
He has extensive contributions to TPH and T.D. Jakes Ministries, which included serving as lead stage manager, production coordinator, and administrative aide.
He also works as a data entry specialist, where he inputs data for first-time visitors from their services twice a week. In addition, he is also a freelance production specialist for Moonie Productions.
His latest involvement in his parents' church activity was serving as a panel for the Woman Evolve 2023 event in Texas, together with actress Meagan Good's former husband DeVon Franklin, David Mann, and Anthony O'Neal.
Music is Jermaine's other passion. He is part of his father's recording label, Dexterity Sound, where he is involved in new artist development. One of his discovered artists was evangelist and urban entertainer Lewis Banks, Jr., also known as Grenade.
The multihyphenate values his privacy greatly. He has an X account with only one post dating back to 2014. His Instagram page is private, but his bio provides little information about himself, such as his nicknames: Maine, Jai, and JJ.

Jermaine Has A Fraternal Twin Brother
Jamar is Jermaine's fraternal twin brother, and their father affectionately dubbed them the "wonder twins." In his self-help book "Instinct," their dad reflected on their different personalities. A part of his book reads:
"One is personable and artsy; the other is quiet and independent. One is nurturing and compassionate; the other is responsible and diligent. One is spontaneous and social; the other is methodical and private."
Their father said they might have dressed them alike when they were young, but it was clear that they were different. However, his sons have embraced their individuality and unique talents, which have contributed to their success as individuals.
Besides his twin sibling Jamar, Jermaine has three siblings—sisters Cora and Sarah and younger brother Thomas Dexter.
Jamar is involved in his father's ministry, serving as the director of business development. While he maintains a private Instagram page, he is notably active on X, where he proudly identifies himself as a "creative man" in his bio.
In 2004, Jermaine's twin brother suffered two heart attacks at 24 years old, which prompted their father to cancel his sermon in Nigeria at that time and rush to help him. Jamar has since fully recovered.

A Glimpse Inside Jermaine's Family Members
Jermaine's mother, Serita, has been married to T.D. for 41 years and works alongside the renowned pastor in the ministry. She is a celebrated author, speaker, and visionary, making her a true force to be reckoned with.
Besides his twin sibling Jamar, Jermaine has three siblings—sisters Cora and Sarah and younger brother Thomas Dexter. Cora is a pastor and spiritual advisor.
Meanwhile, Sarah is a YouTube personality, a co-pastor at the TPH's Los Angeles and Denver churches, and the founder of Woman Evolve. This movement challenges traditional norms for modern women of faith.
Thomas Dexter is known for his commitment to the family ministry, but he is also passionate about creating delicious food. As a food content creator, he runs Jakes Juniors, a website showcasing his culinary talents.
He is a recently married man, having tied the knot with his wife, Larissa Piao, in TPH-Dallas in 2020. Larissa, who is of Brazilian descent, shares her husband's passion for food and is a frequent presence on his website and Instagram page.
