Fonda was publicly seen visiting a friend on October 25, 2023, in Los Angeles. "The Godfather Part III" star stepped out make-up-free for her outing.

Fonda was pictured wearing black loose pants paired with a gray Mickey Mouse t-shirt with matching sneakers and a pair of gloves. She wore reading glasses and carried her purse over her shoulder.

The California native held two cups in her hands while out and about. Page Six shared her photo on their Instagram page, and fans expressed their thoughts.

"Why is she wearing gloves?" asked one person as one other fan asked the same thing. Another online user asked, "Does anyone else notice the cup inside a cup and the plastic gloves?" while another was curious:

"What's on her hands?"

Meanwhile, one social media user penned about Fonda's new look, "Yeah, people change and look different as they age. But those gloves scream crazy!"

Fonda Retired from Acting More than Two Decades Ago

Fonda's recent public appearance comes after she was reportedly seen for the first time in a decade in 2022. She has been described as "reclusive" in recent years.

The 59-year-old retired from acting in 2002, and her last film appearance was in the fantasy movie, "Snow Queen." In April 2023, she was spotted at the Los Angeles International Airport with her son Oliver Elfman.

Fonda, who appeared in several critically acclaimed films, was asked whether she would consider returning to Hollywood. She plainly said, "No," after a photographer asked if there was a possibility that she would make a comeback, adding:

"I don't think so, it's too nice being a civilian."

Asked again if any director could change her mind, the mother of one reiterated her statement, saying, "No."

Fonda, who rose to fame after landing roles in box office movies, appeared in the award-winning director Quentin Tarantino's 1997 classic film, "Jackie Brown," in which she starred alongside Robert De Niro, Chris Tucker, and Michael Keaton.

Also best known for starring in the 1992 psychological thriller, "Single White Female," Fonda quit Hollywood to focus on starting a family. She married composer and musician Danny Elfman in November 2003, and the couple welcomed their only child together two years later in January 2005.
