Gwyneth Paltrow Looks ‘Artificial’ at 51 as She Goes Pantless in Photoshoot from October

In October, Paltrow did a photoshoot with Bustle. Recently, the publication shared the photos from that shoot on their Instagram page. A few fans commented on how good Paltrow looked, but others were unhappy.

In the photo, a pantless Paltrow wears a cropped sweater and looks over her shoulder at the camera, smiling. However, her pose and outfit are not what fans were focused on.

Instead, fans were outraged at the amount of photoshop that seemed to have been used on the image. One fan commented:

"The level of photoshop and fakeness in this photo will unfollow after I post this… thought you stood for what was real and natural, and this just shouts artificial."

Another commented that the photo had nothing to do with reality because it had so many filters. However, Paltrow also received complimentary comments. Lindsey Vonn told Paltrow she was "Crushing it!!!" while other fans also commented on how amazing Paltrow looked.

Paltrow is familiar to people criticizing her for aging and how she portrays herself in the media. It is something she has dealt with throughout her career, yet she is optimistic about her age.

The "Great Expectations" star admitted that when she turned 40, she found it difficult, but being in her 50s has been easier as she focused on her family and her business. Now, she doesn't care what anyone thinks of her. In fact, she shared:

"It's a skill that I have learned over time: to not absorb someone else vomiting their feelings on a projection of me."

She also recognizes the double standard on aging for men and women and feels that women should embrace aging as men do. She likened the situation to Andie McDowell, who was criticized for embracing her gray hair, while George Clooney was celebrated when he did the same. Paltrow feels everyone should be able to age how they want to.
