Dubbed the Songbird Supreme, Carey attended the 2023 Billboard Music Awards on November 8, 2023, at Culver Studios in Culver City, California.

The "Queen of Christmas" took center stage and performed her classic song, "All I Want for Christmas Is You," in the middle of an ice-skating rink.

She was also honored with the Billboard Chart Achievement Award for the hit song, and the prestigious award was presented by her 12-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe.

Two days after the show aired, the singer took to her Facebook page on November 21, 2023, and captioned her post, "Thank you Billboard Music Awards!"

Along with the social media upload, Carey shared a collage of her photos from the event featuring her son and daughter, whom she shares with her former husband, Nick Cannon.

The mother of two donned coordinating looks with her kids as she sported an all-white attire featuring a mini dress with matching thigh-high boots and tights. She accessorized with white sunglasses and styled her gold hair in curls.

Online users commented on her appearance and left mixed reactions. Some people were unimpressed with how the songwriter dressed up for the occasion.

In a November 2015 interview, the record producer dished one of the secrets of her youthful look, revealing that she merely avoids acknowledging her age.

"I think I have to remain eternally oblivious to age," said Carey, who further stated that she does not see the point of putting a number on oneself while adding that a "good hair and makeup team" keeps her feeling beautiful.

In another interview in 2016, the actress joked about her birthday, saying she does not have one. "I was just dropped here. It was a fairyland experience," said Carey.
