Jennifer Lawrence Opens Up About Getting Plastic Surgery Following the Birth of Her Second Child

Jennifer Lawrence has long spoken candidly about life in the spotlight, and a recent interview adds a personal update. The Oscar-winning actress, 36, confirmed that she went under the knife for a procedure she had previously said she planned to have after the birth of her second child.

What She Confirmed

Lawrence confirmed that she underwent a breast lift in an October 2026 interview with The Cut. The idea first surfaced in October 2025, when she spoke with The New Yorker about how motherhood affected her body.

The actress explained that her body responded differently following her respective pregnancies. "Everything bounced back, pretty much, after the first one," she told the magazine. "Second one, nothing bounced back."

The conversation also touched on a nude scene in her 2023 comedy "No Hard Feelings." Lawrence added that she expected to appear nude on camera again the following spring, a year after giving birth to her second child.

Asked whether she would still consider the procedure if she were not famous, Lawrence acknowledged that her career played a role. While she admitted she might not have scheduled the appointment quite as urgently, she believed her answer would still be yes.

Botox, Fillers, and a Future Facelift

In the same 2025 interview, the "No Hard Feelings" star also discussed Botox and dermal fillers. Lawrence revealed that she avoids fillers because they can show on camera.

She added that she still wants to keep enough movement in her forehead to play characters who wouldn't have access to celebrity dermatology. When asked whether she had already had a facelift, she humorously shared, "No, but, believe me, I'm gonna!"

"I want to be a sexy mom," she shared. "At drop-off, I want to look like a woman that has her [expletive] together even when I've just woken up and don't have my [expletive] together."
