4 Missing Teen Boys Found Dead — Girlfriend Writes Devastating Words to Her Late ‘Most Loving Boy'
The loved ones of the four teenage boys found dead during a camping trip have started to pay tribute to them. A girlfriend of one of those who died described her boyfriend as the "most loving boy."
Four teenage boys died in a crash during what was supposed to be a fun camping trip. When Wilf Fitchett, Jevon Hirst, Harvey Owen, and Hugo Morris didn't come home from their scheduled overnight trip, a search took place.
Their bodies were recovered inside an overturned car that was partially submerged, making it apparent that they were in a fatal car crash. The teenagers' loved ones started paying tribute to them.
Wilf Fitchett's Girlfriend Maddi Pays Tribute to Him
Wilf Fitchett's girlfriend Maddi remembered him as the "sweetest and most loving boy." She promised Wilf that she'd continue to enjoy her life, as that's what he would have wanted for her.
"I can't imagine my world without you. I'm missing you so much already."
Maddi's mother, Lisa Corfield, also couldn't help but express how heartbroken she was for her daughter and the boys' families. She promised the late boy that she'd take good care of her daughter for him.
Harvey Owen's Mom Feels She's in a Nightmare
Harvey Owen's mom, Crystal, described the boys' sudden deaths as a "nightmare." Although she appreciates the kindness people have shown her amidst the devastating news, she admits the words will not help her overcome the loss.
The establishment where Harvey once worked also made sure to pay tribute to the late boy. They called him an "easy-going, warm, funny, gentle, bright, hardworking, and humble" young man.
People Honored the Boys in Different Ways
People have made several initiatives to honor the boys. Their community hosted a vigil, while others visited the scene where the boys were found.
James Love, 17, and Alfie Lawley, 16, both friends of the boys, decided to light candles for them at Shrewsbury Abbey after they heard the news. They defined their friends as "lovely, caring lads."
James and Alfie are only two of the many friends of the four boys who brought flowers and lit candles for their fallen friends. "It was really quite a moving thing," parish administrator Steve Swindon shared.
It isn't just the people close to the boys who are mourning the loss. Homeowners near the crash site feel guilty that an accident took place so near them, yet they were not able to respond.
Councilor June Jones of Garreg, Snowdonia, admitted to passing through the road so many times and not noticing the car. If she had seen the car, she believes she would have been able to do something to help the four teenagers.
Grief impacts people in different ways. While Wilf's girlfriend Maddie would like to continue enjoying her life in the way her late boyfriend would have wanted her to, Harvey's mom admits it's going to take a while for her to come to terms with her loss.
Ultimately, the entire community of Shrewsbury continues to mourn the loss of Wilf Fitchett, Jevon Hirst, Harvey Owen, and Hugo Morris. May they rest in peace.
