"Who messed with Robert?" one fan asked, adding that he looked like he was about to get into a fight. Others said that Robert's "pissed" look made the entire thing "awkward." Meanwhile, another fan suggested that he may have been upset because of the lawsuit.

A few weeks ago, "The Irishman" star's former assistant, Graham Chase Robinson, was granted over $1.2 million after she filed a lawsuit against Canal Productions, De Niro's company, for gender discrimination and a toxic work environment.

During the verdict reading, both De Niro and Robinson's lawyers were in high spirits. The actor's attorney even described the turnout of events as "a great victory for Mr. De Niro."

Although De Niro was not directly and personally liable for the said allegations against his company, he, as the owner, was undoubtedly affected and had to attend three days of the two-week trial. The lawsuit has been ongoing since 2019.

However, there is no confirmation if this is the reason behind DeNiro's upset facade in the event. De Niro and DiCaprio, who were spotted together, recently released their film "Killers of the Flower Moon," directed by Martin Scorsese.

Interestingly, in the film, De Niro's character, DiCaprio's on-screen uncle, spanks the latter with a paddle. Rodrigo Prieto, an acclaimed cinematographer, was taken aback by the scene, noting that it must have hurt to film it. Fortunately, DiCaprio is more than willing to go above and beyond to produce the best films.

Most recently, Robert De Niro welcomed a new member into his household, his seventh child, a daughter with his girlfriend Tiffany Chen. Unfortunately, his role as a dad of seven at 79 was met with criticism.
