'One Life to Live' Star Kamar de Los Reyes Tragically Dies at 56 - His 3 Sons Were 'Everything' for Him
"One Life to Live" star Kamar de los Reyes has died aged 56, shortly after he was diagnosed with cancer. The actor has left behind his wife, Sherri Saum, their twin sons, John and Michael, and Caylen from a previous relationship.

Kamar de los Reyes, recognized for portraying Antonio Vega on "One Life to Live," passed away in Los Angeles on December 24, 2023, shortly after a cancer diagnosis. "One Life to Live," an ABC soap opera ran from 1995 to 2009.
As per a statement issued by representatives of the actor's family, de los Reyes, who died aged 56, was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on November 8, 1967. The movie star grew up in Las Vegas. De los Reyes, who was a lover of music and dance, then moved to Los Angeles in the '80s to pursue his dream of being an entertainer.
The actor appeared in productions such as "Abducted," "Salt," "Sleepy Hollow," "LA Apocalypse," and voiced a character in the video game "Call of Duty: Black Ops II."Most recently, de los Reyes starred on "All American," a CW hit show, where he played Coach Montes from 2022 to 2023. In the popular video franchise "Call of Duty," the actor voiced the character of Paul Menendez.

De los Reyes is survived by his wife, Sherri Saum, whom he married in 2007. The couple share twins, Michael and John, 9, whom the actor called his "everything" in an Instagram post shared in 2021. On the twins' first birthday, their parents threw them a frog-themed party at their Hollywood-area home.
Saum and de los Reyes welcomed their twins on May 13, 2014. The actress said her husband had an organized way of approaching things, which made it easy to handle babies who need structure.
Since Saum is super laid back, the two had to find a way to blend their parenting styles and instincts. Still, the couple put time aside for themselves for special things such as dates, even with a busy schedule following the birth of the twins.
De los Reyes was proud of Caylen, his son from a previous relationship. His most recent Instagram post celebrated Caylen's achievement. He shared a picture of his son in a US Army uniform on graduation day and captioned it, "Always knew you'd do great things - never dreamed how great. My pride to have you as my son overwhelms me."
At the time of his death, the phenomenal actor was filming "All American." He also had a role in Hulu's upcoming limited series "Washington Black" and Marvel's upcoming "Daredevil" series.
