This recent outing comes after Lange revealed she was contemplating retirement last year. In an interview she did in October 2023, the "American Horror Story" alum stunned the interviewer when she nonchalantly stated, "I think I'm going to start phasing out of filmmaking."

After the interviewer confirmed that Lange had actually said what she said, the 74-year-old icon reiterated that she does not think she will continue to act for much longer.

Ultimately, her decision comes down to the fact that she believes creativity is no longer prioritized in filmmaking in today's age.

Instead, Lange expressed that it's all about making the most corporate profits, citing the rarity of filmmakers and producers making great and classic works of art like they frequently did back in the day.
