Harrison Ford’s Wife Calista Flockhart Shares the Key to Their Enduring Marriage in Hollywood

Hollywood star Calista Flockhart shared the key to her and her husband's enduring marriage. She and iconic actor Harrison Ford have been married since 2010.

Recently, famous actress Calista Flockhart sat down for an interview with a media outlet. She discussed her career, including her new series "Feud: Capote vs. The Swans," and aspects of her life, like her marriage with film legend Harrison Ford.

During the conversation, the "Supergirl" star revealed what makes their relationship last. Ford and Flockhart know how to keep their romantic spark and playful nature alive without letting things like ego get in the way.

Keeping things fun is a core value held by the couple, as Flockhart divulged, "I'm called the 'Scare Monster' in my house because I hide behind every corner. And so Harrison will walk in, and then I'll go, 'Raaah!' And he'll go, 'W-uy-aah!' And then I die laughing."

She also mentioned how they prank each other with fake spiders and scorpions to startle the other. Flockhart then disclosed that one of the reasons why their over-a-decade-long union has lasted is because there was a time when she was "really content being home," focusing on motherhood.

Flockhart went on to say, "I didn't have the same dreams at the time, so we weren't competing with each other. We're very independent of each other in some ways."

Although she also explained that the pair are codependent on each other in other ways, Harrison is sometimes taken aback by her independence. Flockhart admitted, "It scares him, I think, sometimes."

Another reason Flockhart gave concerning the cornerstones involved in making their marriage work, and last is both of their personalities as introverts. In this regard, she revealed, "We stay home a lot, homebodies, which is nice."

Interestingly, the duo, who got married in 2010 after getting engaged on Valentine's Day the year before, have never worked together. However, they still support each other extensively, as confirmed by Flockhart, "He supports me a lot. It's a mutual thing."

The doting wife also said that though she and Ford have not done any career projects together, the two have explored and dabbled with the idea a little.
