Maks Chmerkovskiy & Peta Murgatroyd Are Expecting a Baby Less than a Year after Welcoming 2nd Son

Peta Murgatroyd recently announced her pregnancy on Instagram. The dancer gave fans a glimpse into her private life, capturing the moment she told her husband, Maks Chmerkovskiy, of the pregnancy.

Peta Murgatroyd is going to be a mother yet again. The expecting mom, at four months postpartum, recently revealed that she took a test to confirm the pregnancy.

Murgatroyd posted a video of the moment she told her husband, Maks Chmerkovskiy, he would be a father of three. Initially, the dancer gave subtle hints to her husband, who was talking to her via video call, saying she felt nauseous and unwell.

She then suggested they move into a bigger house before eventually revealing that she was pregnant. Despite her revelation that "This was very unexpected," the couple is excited to add another little one into their home.

"After everything we've been through with miscarriages and IVF we're beyond blessed and know we are uber lucky for this miracle to happen to us," she wrote in the caption.

Many who saw Murgatroyd's video were also happy for her and sent their well wishes through the comments section. "OMG WHAT!!!! This is incredible!" one comment read. "What a miracle!!!! Congratulations," a second added.

"So excited for your beautiful family!" a social media user exclaimed. Getting pregnant right after having a baby, You will love it!" another shared.

Chmerkovskiy previously paid tribute to his family during his 44th birthday Instagram post, calling them the "ultimate birthday present." His share included a family photo of his wife and two kids in all-black ensembles.

In 2019, Murgatroyd opened up about her and her husband's journey to become parents of two. During an interview, she revealed that they were trying to schedule having a child before another season of "Dancing with the Stars."

The couple, who tied the knot in 2017, welcomed their first child, Shai, in the same year. It didn't take long for them to realize they wanted more kids. Last year, they reached two milestones as Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd celebrated their 6th wedding anniversary and welcomed their second child.

The arrival of their second child was a blessing for the couple after they endured fertility issues. Murgatroyd had suffered a few failed IVF rounds, and it became painful to have sibling conversations with their six-year-old son Shai, who could not wait for his mother to fall pregnant.

Chmerkovskiy said they had the same story in rotation and could not bear the feeling of disappointing Shai. He shared, "He knew the story was that mommy had an egg, and then the egg broke." But this time, the parents were excited to tell their son his mother was having a baby.

The mother of two was also proud of how much her son gentle her son was with her pregnant belly. She revealed that Shai was impatient and always asked when the baby was arriving.

The journey with IVF was not the easiest; with every failed cycle, Murgatroyd had to learn to stop putting her son's hopes up. "Very emotional because I didn't know what to tell him anymore. I told him the first two times, but I kept it vague." the mother added.

But Shai and his parents finally got the new addition to the family and are happy to embark on this new chapter. Their romance was not love at first sight. It began a few years after their first meeting. It was not love at first sight for the pair, but they managed to make things work irrespective of the challenges.

The couple crossed paths in 2009 and, three years later, became romantically involved. Sadly, barely one year after, their relationship ended.

As fate ordained it, they reunited, got engaged, and started a family with their adorable son. Since then, they have remained a power couple, teaming up as parents and inseparable lovers!

The couple met in 2009 as colleagues on a Broadway performance and later on ABC's dance show "Dancing With The Stars." Then, Chmerkovskiy was engaged to Karina Smirnoff, while his future wife dated Damian Whitewood.

Once they were single, they became an item. While recounting their first date, Murgatroyd, the New Zealand native, gushed at how great her then-lover was and confessed that she was caught off guard.

She stated that they did not have an official date and that Chmerkovskiy asked her to dinner while she was worried about a work-related issue.

When they arrived at the Los Angeles restaurant with an exquisite setting including "fairy light" and "candles," she understood, and the duo had a subtle lovers moment, flirting and sharing a sweet kiss.

Years later, Murgatroyd remains smitten by the not-so-typical first date, and she complimented her husband for exhibiting the traits of a gentleman. She said, "He was a gentleman. He was not at all trying to get me into bed or anything like that. He walked me to my door. He was great."
