Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd celebrated their wedding anniversary in style. The couple, who have been married for six years, took to Instagram to celebrate their love with touching tributes to each other.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary on Saturday. The couple expressed their love and appreciation for each other through heartwarming messages.

Peta shared photos from their wedding day, featuring a fascinating snapshot of them kissing under the rainbow. Alongside the pictures, she shared a sweet caption, celebrating their anniversary and gushing about her husband, calling him his "Favourite human" and her "Best friend on the planet."

Maskim Chmerkovskiy also joined the celebration by sharing a photo from their wedding day. The picture captures a tender moment where he is seen holding Peta's face while gazing deeply into her eyes, showcasing the depth of their connection. A section of his post read:

"Happy anniversary my love! Easily the absolute best decision I’ve ever made and I would marry you every day of my life for as long as I shall….you know the rest :)"

The professional dancers from "Dancing with the Stars" exchanged vows on July 8, 2017, in a lavish wedding ceremony at the beautiful Oheka Castle in Long Island, New York.

Peta gracefully walked down the aisle, escorted by her father, wearing a stunning fairytale ball gown. The gown featured an off-the-shoulder fitted bodice and a voluminous, multi-tiered skirt, creating an enchanting look.

Among the attendees at the wedding were other "DWTS" personalities like Tony Dovolani, Rumer Willis, and Sharna Burgess. Also, additional notable guests included Jenna Johnson, Nyle DiMarco, and Candace Cameron Bure.

Before the wedding, the lovebirds and their guests celebrated their love in a luxurious pre-wedding, setting the stage for the big day.

The couple initially crossed paths in 2009 while on Broadway, but they embarked on a romantic relationship during their time together on "Dancing With the Stars" in 2012. After three years, Maskim chose a special moment to propose to Peta, doing so onstage during a performance in December 2015.

The couple has now learned to adjust to their demanding careers and life as parents. In 2018, Maskim stated in an interview that sometimes they missed attending red-carpet events because they didn't want to be away from their son, Shai, who was a year old at the time.

Maskim and Peta share two children; they recently welcomed their second child, Rio John Chmerkovskiy, on June 18, 2023.
