A TikToker's husband told her she did not do anything around the house. So, without saying much, she found a creative way to teach him a lesson. Viewers loved how she responded to her spouse's comment, but some thought it raised concerns for the future of her marriage.

It can be heartbreaking when your partner does not recognize the value you add to the relationship. A TikTok user with the username @lindsaydonnelly2 shared a video of how she reacted to her husband telling her she did not do anything around the house.

The wife started the video with the words, "My husband made a comment that I do nothing around the house." Lindsay decided that the best way to respond to the comment was to show him what the house would be like if she truly did nothing.

In the next cut, she wrote, "So for two days, I did nothing around the house." The video started panning throughout the home, showing off all the mess that had built up. Starting in the kitchen, dishes in the sink and on the counter could be seen.

As she walked, she showed the kids' toys, shoes, and papers on the floor. The dining table was also cluttered with a variety of random things. In the living room, the camera panned to a pile of unfolded laundry in the basket, as well as more clothes on the couch with toys, shoes, and other stuff on the floor.

From there, Lindsay showed the state of the bathroom, where the vanity was filled with things like an unplugged flat iron, mouthwash, and more. The floors also had clothes on them, and the bathtub still had the kids' toys. To top it off, the wife captioned her video, "Then I left town for a girls trip… #marriagehumor."

While many loved her reaction to what her husband said, some worried about the future of Lindsay's marriage. People in the comment section believed this was grounds to file for a divorce. "Girls trip..to divorce lawyer… right?!?!" said a commenter. Other netizens started sharing what they did when a partner said the same thing.

One woman simply said, "The same thing happened to me. Filed for divorce yesterday." Another person explained that one of her exes had also made a comment about her not doing enough around the house. So she did nothing for three months and asked him to move out. "Since then, the apartment is clean," added the commenter.

For some viewers, this incident was big enough to consider ending the marriage because it showed that the husband did not value his wife and that there was no mutual respect between them. TikTokers believed he was being passive-aggressive and did not think it was the kind of behavior that would end anytime soon.

One wife also said she would go a week without doing anything around the house, and her husband always came back to apologize. Another spouse added that a previous partner expressed that he did not like how she folded his clothes. She said it had been 20 years since the incident, but she never touched his clothes again.

For many of the commenters, the husband's remarks were shocking, and this counted as a red flag that needed to be addressed with caution because it was important to have a partner who recognized and valued your contributions to the relationship. "That relationship sounds exhausting," wrote a TikToker.

Therefore, when Lindsay captioned the video as "marriage humor," TikTokers believed she deserved someone better and continuously urged her to leave him. "DIVORCE BABE DIVORCE," remarked a viewer. Another user thought it was even worse that the husband did not clean up. "I'd get divorce papers, honestly. That's unacceptable that he can't pick up as well," they added.
