Fans from across the globe have been extending their condolences, with some pointing out the striking resemblance between Beyoncé and her late uncle. "Y'all got some strong genes 'cause he looks like Beyoncé. May this beautiful brother rest in peace," wrote a user.

Another fan commented, "Beyoncé has his ears! Your family's side takes NO NAPS when it comes to genetics. Sheesh. May he rest in peace, and I'm sorry for your family's loss."

Butch was not just any family member, he was a dedicated Air Force veteran and an enthusiast of motorcycles and martial arts, holding a black belt in karate.

He was a loving husband to Jeanette, a caring father to Dana, and a doting grandfather to his grandchildren, Yvette and Roland.

This loss comes at a time when Beyoncé continues to achieve new heights in her career. Recently, she made history as the first black woman to top the US Billboard Country Music Song chart with her single "Texas Hold 'Em," also marking her first UK number one in nearly 14 years.

In her music and public statements, Beyoncé has often paid homage to her family's influence on her artistry. Her seventh studio album, "Renaissance," was dedicated to her "uncle Johnny,” who died when Beyoncé was 17.

"I want to dedicate this award to my Uncle Johnny, the most fabulous gay man I have ever known, who helped raise me and my sister," she said. "He lived his truth and he was brave and unapologetic during a time when this country wasn't as accepting."

"And witnessing his battle with HIV was one of the most painful experiences I've ever lived. I'm hopeful that his struggle served to open pathways for other young people to live more freely. LGBTQI rights are human rights," Beyoncé added.
