In the video, the words "What if I tell you I yell at my child, too?" were featured. While holding her daughter's hands, Gigi honestly confessed to the little girl that she was really tired at that moment. However, her daughter didn't seem to comprehend her mother's distress.

On February 19, 2024, Gigi released another video about apologizing to your children on her Instagram account. She addressed the matter saying it was crucial to apologize to children when you lose your cool because they don't understand when you're upset and deserve an explanation and an apology.

The social media user shared that it didn't matter how little or young they are because they are human beings too. She asked how parents could expect their children to take responsibility for their actions if parents don't do the same thing, stating:

"When parents model behavior, they raise children who will do the same as they grow."

Gigi felt children could also learn to take accountability for their actions and would become more self-aware. She believes they won't shame themselves or others when they make mistakes and will know how to repair them, a key component of maintaining loving relationships with themselves, their parents, and others.

She urged parents not to blame as they held themselves accountable for their actions. Gigi also gave an example of how one could apologize effectively to their children. She said to start by saying sorry for yelling and explain that you were feeling frustrated but to acknowledge that it wasn't an excuse for their behavior.

The parent should also note that their words hurt their children and apologize sincerely before vowing to try their best to do better next time. On her Instagram, she describes herself as an advocate not only of Gentle Parenting but also of doing it consciously.
