Shania Twain, 58, Flaunts New Hair Color, Sparking Online Buzz — Photo
Shania Twain recently debuted a new look on her Instagram page and her fans had strong opinions about the new photo. While some thought she looked great, others did not share that opinion.
Country music icon Shania Twain, at 58, has captivated her online audience with a striking change in her hair color. In a recent photo shared on her social media, Twain is seen donning a simple yet chic black blazer paired with dark eye makeup and nude pink lips. However, it's her hair that truly steals the spotlight — the long, blush pink tresses cascade down her shoulders, marking a bold departure from her traditional look.
The singer-songwriter captioned the photo with a nod to her own lyrics: "Color my hair, do what I dare," referencing her hit song "Man! I Feel Like a Woman." Twain also acknowledged the stylists behind her transformation — Dimitris Giannetos Opus beauty, Steeve Foussard, and assistant Beauty by Autumn.
Fans were quick to react to Twain's daring new style. Comments ranged from surprise to admiration, with one user expressing disdain saying, "Doesn’t even look like you 😢," while another embraced the change, saying, "I’m always gonna say Brunette Shania Twain for life, but this color does look good on you!" Comparisons were drawn by others, with one fan noting a resemblance to Avril Lavigne and another stating she gave off "Kardashian vibes." A different admirer succinctly remarked that Twain "owned" the look.

Her playful approach to hair color, she revealed, was inspired by her transition to gray hair. In an interview on the CMT Music Awards red carpet, Twain shared, "Over the years, I have had many different styles. I'm playing more with color right now and I'm enjoying that because I'm going gray." At 57, she expressed a willingness to embrace this natural change with enthusiasm, stating, "As I go gray, I'm like, 'I might as well toy around with different colors.'"

The CMT Equal Play Award recipient hinted at even more adventurous hair choices in the future. She joked that she might change her hair color weekly as she had an empty palette with her gray hair and was keen to experiment with it. She found that toying with her hair was akin to making new fashion choices.
Twain's boldness in beauty is more than just a style statement; it's a form of self-expression. In her acceptance speech for The Music Icon Award at the People's Choice Awards, she encouraged fans to "embrace your individuality and your crazy ideas. Just be brave. There is power in numbers. We are in this together. Love is love and when a door slams in your face, just run and leap at that door and kick it down. You won't regret it."
Twain has also had fun with responding to fan comments on her hair. In a playful TikTok video, Twain, sporting bright pink hair, runs off stage towards a car when the person filming shouts, "Shania I love your wig." Pausing, she dashes back, and retorts "What wig?" and hops into the waiting vehicle. This exchange came after a fan commented on another TikTok video admiring her "wig." When asked about her secrets to aging, the 58-year-old singer responded that she is aging naturally, adding that however she aged was fine with her.
