New details surrounding the tragic death of Garrison Brown from the popular reality TV show "Sister Wives" have come to light. Following the reality TV star's suicide, body cam audio from Flagstaff PD officers has emerged. In the audio, the police officers are heard entering Garrison's apartment where they found him dead in his bedroom.

The responding officer noted something peculiar: when he removed the gun found on Garrison's lap to give to the medics, it was unloaded, which suggested that someone might have been there before the police arrived.

As the reality of the situation dawned, the emotional toll on those close to Garrison became apparent. The audio captured the heart-wrenching reactions of Garrison's roommates. Cheyenne, one of the roommates, broke down in tears upon hearing the news.

She recalled hearing a noise the previous night, which she now realized was likely the sound of the gunshot. After reflecting on their last conversations, Cheyenne expressed deep regret for not checking on Garrison that night, especially after he had confided in her about his struggles with alcohol.

Similarly, Garrison's other roommate, Addison, was informed over the phone. Addison was also in disbelief and remembered how Garrison had been battling not only alcoholism but also depression, which made Addison believe he was intoxicated on the night of his death.

Garrison is survived by his parents, Janelle and Kody, and several siblings, who are all grappling with this painful loss. The "Sister Wives" community and fans of the show have expressed their condolences and support for the Brown family during this incredibly difficult time.

However, commenters were also outraged when they heard the heartbreaking audio. "This is disgusting, take it down," expressed a Facebook user. Others wondered how the roommates did not do anything after they heard the noise. "Roommates sound suspicious. The gun also moved prior to the cops coming. Someone's getting locked up," wrote a commenter.

One more person added, "Wasn’t just a roommate, it was his brother!" Another commenter speculated, "I don’t understand how the roommates said they heard a shot but never bothered to go check on him."

The case has seemed to be more complicated than expected. There is no suicide note, and only one bullet was discovered, which left many questions about Garrison’s death.

However, the death has left many of his family members heartbroken. As previously reported on March 7, 2024, his brother Gabriel was the one who arrived at his brother's house, only to discover his brother's lifeless body.

Garrison lived alone, since moving out of his family home, following the massive fight with his dad regarding COVID rules and their relationship overall. Garrison's dad, Kody, was the one who pushed his son out of the house and made him move out. In an episode of the show, Kody said, "When you're twenty-one, karmically, I've given you all you need! You've got a good car. You go get a job. Here's some cash. Bye!"

"I am on the verge of washing my hands of it. I am gonna have Gabriel and Garrison to move out of the house,” he added. Since Kody was absent most of the time, the brothers grew up supporting each other. From family gatherings to domestic challenges, they learned to rely on each other rather than their father.

"Since I last talked to Dad, I have bought a house, gotten into a school, and acquired the car that I wanted, despite him telling me I should never get it," said Garrison. When asked whether his father knew, Garrison replied, "No, he doesn’t care to."

Gabriel was in the room during that conversation, nodding along, and understanding the circumstances. When his brother was done talking, he replied with a short "Based" comment, only proving that none of his father's behavior was surprising to him anymore.

Kody did not spend Thanksgiving with his children, reasoning, "I am not going to have them come to my house for Thanksgiving if they have animosity towards me or someone connected to me."In an interview, the mother of the family commented, "Our Thanksgiving last year was separate. This year, there is such a big divide between Kody and my boys..."

The significant divide was indeed bound to happen, but the brothers stood by each other in their decision to distance themselves from their dad. When Gabriel had problems with his car in the middle of the road, it was his brother he called. Later on, their mother posted a picture of the brothers working together on the broken car.

"It does a mama’s heart good to know she raised boys willing to help out - even each other. Gabe hit something in the road and Garrison came right away to help him... AND it was raining like crazy. I went over to help but ended up being the cheerleader as I wasn’t really needed," she wrote. "Now, with Garrison gone, Gabriel is left alone to deal with his problems, with his car, and with the family."

The distance relationship Gorrison had with his father, was another part of speculation for fans. As previously reported on, March 6 2024 Garrison—one of the six children Kody shares with Janelle, including Logan, Maddie, Hunter, Gabriel, and Savanah Brown—was remembered by fans as someone who deeply yearned for his father's attention and love.

This sentiment was echoed in the comments section of an Instagram post that Kody made last year about his divorce from one of his wives, Meri Brown.

People left messages like, "You could have prevented this…" and "He JUST needed LOVE from a father. RIP Garrison 🙏🏻." Others accused Kody of neglect, stating, "He probably did it to finally get your attention!!!! I was literally horrified when I saw him on TV begging for you to phone him and you continued to ignore him and blame him 💔💔💔💔," and “Hope you feel the weight of this!!!! The guilt you will have!”

The collective outcry from the public underlines a deep-seated belief that Kody's actions, or lack thereof, significantly contributed to Garrison's tragic end.

The root of this blame seems to stem from a history of perceived neglect and favoritism within the Brown family. Last year, Garrison's mother recalled her children's feelings of inequality in their relationship with Kody and mentioned how they felt sidelined by him as he appeared to favor other members of their polygamous family.

"They felt like he was choosing one family over another,” Janelle shared, shedding light on the deep-seated issues within their family dynamic.

In a TLC video published in October last year, where the Brown family was discussing Kody's relationships with his children, she further explained:

“I can observe that Kody seems to have trouble relating to his older children, and he seems to dote on the younger children, and when my children were younger,[...] his guidance mattered to them [...] Now, because they question it a little bit, I think it might be harder for Kody to feel like he’s respected.”

This narrative was further highlighted when the same video showed a clip of Garrison Brown discussing his life achievements, like buying a home and car, all of which Kody seemed unaware of or uninterested in. In response to these portrayals, Kody claimed he had reached out to his sons on two occasions, and expressed his belief that Garrison and his brother Gabriel were not interested in engaging with him.

The Brown family patriarch also previously spoke about feeling "powerless" as a father figure and admitted that his family had begun to "unravel" due to their inability to work through differences and varying perspectives.

As the Brown family navigates through this difficult time, the dialogue surrounding Garrison's death raises important questions about the responsibilities of parenthood, the challenges of growing up in a divided household, and the impact of reality TV and fame on personal relationships. The young adult's passing has left a void in the hearts of many, including his family, friends, and fans around the world.
