Pamela Anderson has shown glimpses of her home where she leads a simplistic life. Take a look at how the celebrity’s house appears in pictures following renovation.
Pamela Anderson is in her late fifties and has two sons. After years in the entertainment industry, the actress decided to redefine herself, starting with her appearance. In 2023, the television star attended Paris Fashion Week without wearing makeup and has since embraced simplicity and clean living.
In a virtual interview, the Hollywood star appeared bare-faced and her blonde hair was pulled back messily. Speaking about her new lifestyle, Anderson said she has made a well-thought-out choice.
"Without context my name [suggests] a wrong image. I've been on this journey, from Playboy to 'Baywatch' – all these Halloween costumes, I like to say, – and now come back home to self-love and self-acceptance, I just feel like it's OK. [What I'm into now] is a conscious choice," Anderson explained.
Several years ago, the movie star left Hollywood to settle in her home country, Canada. While there, Anderson renovated her grandparents’ former lakeside home on Vancouver Island.
Glimpse Inside Anderson's Home
The home reflects her personality and lifestyle. It sits on a site she purchased from her grandparents more than three decades ago, where she spent much of her childhood.
The property covers six acres with three main buildings: the boathouse, the roadhouse, and the cabin. For the renovation, Anderson carved out more living spaces, added buildings, a barn, and plenty of garden space.
The aesthetic and style of the property reflect the celebrity's love for simplicity and nature. The house, located by a lake has also undergone renovation in recent years.
As a child, Anderson's grandparents ran the site as a holiday village consisting of wooden cabins and a main building called The Roadside. The main house was not left out during the renovations as it was given a "cheap and cheerful makeover," she said.
Anderson is not the only one to own a property on the land as her parents once owned Cabin number six, but it no longer exists. However, the property that used to have nine-holiday cabins only had one remaining and it became part of the renovation journey.
The site also includes a boathouse next to the water, which was transformed into a lakeside home. There are also the remains of a pier that Anderson initially planned to reinstate with a pavilion for alfresco dining surrounded by water.
Ahead of the first phase of the renovation project, Anderson shared her vision for the estate, saying, "I want something wild, sexy, and crazy! I'm a mermaid and this is my mermaid castle."
The first part of the remodeling included the basement of The Roadside. Anderson explained that it was supposed to be a laundry room but looked scary.
That said, she planned on transforming the space to include a mud room with seating and storage, a utility area with a marble sink, and a walk-in pantry for homemade pickles.
Designer Teresa divulged how much the laundry room meant to Anderson, saying, "I've never met anyone who loves doing laundry as much as Pamela Anderson does."
The transformation was a major success leaving the former model overwhelmed with emotions. "Oh my God, oh this looks so good, this looks amazing. [...] This is what a pantry should look like. [...] I've got chills. [...] It's gorgeous, I'm happy," Anderson expressed after seeing the big reveal.
In a 2022 interview, Anderson expressed her feelings about the property and her efforts to make it her dream home. "It's very therapeutic. It's brought me right back to that time in my life where I just feel like a child, kind of unpolluted," said the actress.
She feels blessed that she could return home to experience this and live her life there and said it is because not everybody gets to do that. Anderson offered advice for those who want to try out nostalgic renovation projects, saying they need to be the trendsetters and not the other way around.
She is not concerned with trends and aims for her home to last forever, to be passed down to her kids and their children. The movie star wants to keep it simple and rustic.
Anderson emphasized the importance of maintaining the character of the home while updating it. "There's things that we've been able to keep," she noted. The property is sentimental and emotionally charged for Anderson who believes in creating opportunities for family gatherings and staying connected with loved ones.
Returning to her home country has been an emotional journey for Anderson. "Coming back here was really triggering. For me, it's very emotional," Anderson said about revisiting her roots. She explains that coming home to face past issues was a healing process.
The public figure recalled her restlessness before leaving the island and her journey to Hollywood. "I'd never been on a plane before when I left this island," she revealed.
Returning to the property was initially difficult, but she is now turning it around. These days, Anderson enjoys creative activities like reading, painting, pottery, and vegetable canning.
Despite having trials and errors and conflicts over design choices, she is proud of her renovation efforts. Anderson is happy to see her sons spending more time at the property.
Moreover, the 56-year-old media personality has created a vegetable garden filled with her own produce and a rose garden featuring her favorite hot pink variety.
After long renovations, Anderson's property was completed in early January 2023. The cabin and the boathouse now have a fresh new look and the final piece of the project was the pier.
It extends the usable space onto the water, providing the best view imaginable of the British Columbia property. Anderson described the pier as the most important part of the project.
Meanwhile, the Roadhouse porch received a luxurious heated front porch update, perfect for family dinners. The entire property has a vintage Parisian-inspired look that aligns with her aesthetic.
In a recent social media upload, Anderson posted a photo of herself sitting near the windowsill, showing another glimpse of her abode. Her followers commented on the post with one person writing, "So, so beautiful." Others complimented her abode as one said, "So warm, comforting, inviting and real," while another commented, "Love your rustic design. So beautiful and warm like you."
In a new "Love at First Wash" campaign, Anderson shared a glimpse of her daily routines at her home. She described doing laundry as a "self-care ritual" instead of a chore.
"I look at it as a time to kind of get away, a time for yourself. It’s meditative," she said. Her first renovation project in the home was the large laundry room, decorated with photos of her sons and equipped with a record player for listening to music.
Anderson also enjoys cooking, particularly making vegetable soup. In addition, she shared her daily routines and simple joys in a campaign video that showed her walking along the shore with her dog and hanging laundry on a tree branch to dry. The media personality emphasized the importance of having fun with everything you do.
On April 3, 2024, Anderson announced her new recipe book on Instagram. "[...] What started out as a housewarming gift for my boys—a box of recipe cards, simply titled 'I LOVE YOU'… grew into a project that encapsulates all our favorite things," she wrote.
Anderson explained that it is a lifestyle cookbook filled with plant-based recipes. "It celebrates the magic of scenic settings where nature always has a proud seat at the table," she added.
The Canadian-American actress, model, and media personality has embraced a new, simpler lifestyle, focusing on self-acceptance and clean living. Her renovated home reflects her personality and commitment to sustainability.
The mother of two's journey offers a new perspective on her life, showing a woman who has found peace and fulfillment in her roots. Her upcoming projects, including a recipe book, continue to showcase her love for family and nature.
