Sarah Jessica Parker was one of the celebrities honored at the 18th Annual Golden Heart Awards. The actress appeared in a short social media video taken at the event, posing for pictures alongside Kristin Davis. This sparked mixed reactions from netizens about her dress choice and looks.

Some netizens loved her cocktail dress, with one person stating, "Sarah's dress 👗 omg ❤️." Thrilled by how the "Sex and The City" star looked, another added, "So happy SJP got her mojo back! Beautiful and classy 😍."
Parker was also captured arriving at the event's venue, stopping to take some photos on the stairs before heading inside. A Facebook user who saw the clip commented, "Love the dress, shoes and her dazzling smile!"

After seeing more Facebook footage of the star before she joined Davis for pictures, one viewer praised her, "Sjp..looks amazing." Supporting both celebrities, someone else remarked, "Looks like both had some nice work done. You go girls."
A fan who appreciated Parker for who she is shared, "Sarah Jessica Parker has a different type of timeless beauty. Just gorgeous." But, another Facebook reel showing the actress with Davis drew attention to her hair, with one fan commenting, "Sarah's hair pulled back tightly makes her look way older. She has beautiful curly hair and should let it out!!"

Someone else also focused on her hairstyle, and suggested, "Hair down and shorten the dress. Sarah is fun. She looks like a older version of herself [sic]." Another person, judging the star's appearance, complained, "Another face [lift] girl [sic]."
Zooming in on her face, an Instagram critic asked, "Sarah can barely smile too much botox?"
At the Golden Heart Awards, hosted by God's Love We Deliver, Parker received the Michael Kors Award for Outstanding Philanthropy. She praised the "extraordinary institution of good," noting how since its founding in 1985, during the height of the AIDS epidemic, "God's Love We Deliver has shined its spotlight and focused all its will and resources on a community that was, and still is occasionally, ignored."

The star also mentioned Pat Costello, a woman who started volunteering for the organization in 1991. She called Costello "a heartbeat" of the charity and an integral part of its success. In the past year, the actress tackled aging and facial procedures.
During a June 2023 appearance on "The Howard Stern Show," Parker addressed rumors about getting a facelift or Botox. She confessed that she often thought about those cosmetic procedures, even wondering if it was too late to have them.

The actress worried that people would not only see her as well-rested but as someone who looked like "an entirely different human being." Instead, the star opted for a dermatologist who used a peeling machine on her face.

After the treatment, Parker would leave with little red marks. The celebrity felt she'd missed out on getting a facelift but would have preferred an "old-fashioned good one that you have when you're like 44."

The actress said she wouldn't do it now in her 50s, having heard discouraging stories, but she understood why some chose to undergo such procedures. Parker recognized the societal pressure on women over their appearance.

She could relate because when she and the other stars launched the new season of the "Sex and The City" reboot, "And Just Like That," articles about aging and doing so gracefully became a focus. The actress was even criticized for having gray hair, which she refuted.
In 2021, she addressed the imbalance in how men and women are viewed when aging, stating, "There's so much misogynist chatter in response to us that would never. Happen. About. A. Man."
She recalled sitting with Andy Cohen, who sported a full head of gray hair, yet the focus was on whether she had it. Cohen's gray hair wasn't an issue, but she was judged harshly on social media.

People would comment on her having too many or too few wrinkles, adding, "It almost feels as if people don't want us to be perfectly okay with where we are, as if they almost enjoy us being pained by who we are today..."
Parker believed people were uncomfortable with others choosing to age naturally and not always striving to look perfect. She thought critics had issues with others making choices that made them feel better.

The actress acknowledged she knows what she looks like and has no choice in the matter, asking, "What am I going to do about it? Stop aging? Disappear?" Sadly, her observations were validated as she faced similar criticism before.

In May 2024, she posted pictures and a video of herself in an outfit from the set of "And Just Like That," but instead of only praise, she faced backlash. The sheer nude dress was paired with an olive green bra and salmon high-waisted underwear.

The gown also featured roses tucked into the pockets, which she wore with a matching see-through coat with puffed sleeves adorned with roses. Some netizens felt the ensemble, completed with nude heels, didn't suit the mature character Carrie Bradshaw, whom the 59-year-old played.

One commenter asked, "Yeah, why did they assume her style would be like this in her 50s?" while another added, "She's too old." Another person completely disliked her look, stating, "Clothes are horrible, terrible fashion."

Fortunately, not all the feedback was negative. One person shared, "This look is absolutely stunning." Another remarked, "Oh, that outfit! Just perfect," while someone else considered it the ideal dress for spring, commenting, "Very beautiful spring dress."
Beyond being an award-winning actress, Parker has also become known as a fashion icon. Her role in "Sex and The City" influenced the fashion world, and with the reboot, fans get to see how Bradshaw evolves.
