The "Sex and the City" reboot reportedly revealed the 23-year-old as Mia, the woman who becomes pregnant with Brady's child. Brady is Miranda Hobbes' son in the series. Fans on Instagram couldn't help but weigh in on Ella's appearance, many pointing out the resemblance—or lack thereof—to her famous parents and grandmother.

"She is absolutely beautiful but I do think her hair style makes her look older than she is. Her mom looks younger than her for some reason? [sic]," one Instagrammer commented. Another added, "She's super cute, but doesn't look related to them." A more flattering take noted, "Her and her mom could pass as sisters [sic]."
The comparisons kept coming, with one fan writing, "The mom looks younger.. They could pass as sisters." One questioned the resemblance altogether, saying, "She doesn't look like either parent."
A separate post sparked more attention, with fans drawing comparisons to Ella's late grandmother, Anne Meara, who also had a role in the original "Sex and the City."
One comment read, "She looks just like her Grandmother! ❤️," while another echoed, "She looks like her Grandma." Someone else was astounded by the uncanny family resemblance, "Bro how is it possible to be a perfect imagine of mom and dad? [sic]"
Another post highlighted the generational connection, and the internet was equally vocal. "She looks just like Ben’s mother with a dash of Christine," one person wrote. Another, less sure of the family dynamic, asked, "Which one is the daughter [sic]." A final comment chimed in with their impressions, "If that's the daughter in the middle, she looks way older than her mom."
The performance marks a milestone in what has already been a breakout year for the young actress. In a June 19, 2025, post on her Instagram, Ella celebrated another major step. "Made my off broadway debut last night which is literally my gigantic dream come true and I couldn't be happier for it to be in @dilariaplay [sic]," she wrote.
Ella has more in store. According to Teen Vogue, in addition to filming multiple episodes of "And Just Like That," she's appeared in the Bobby Farrelly film "Driver’s Ed" alongside Sam Nivola.
She's also working a day job at a boutique uptown, and plans to shoot an indie film soon after her theater run ends. Long term, she hopes to create and star in a TV show she co-wrote, with aspirations to direct, write, and produce her projects.

Born in Los Angeles but raised in New York City, Ella comes from a multigenerational comedy legacy. As Teen Vogue details, she's the granddaughter of legendary comedians Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, and has inherited her family's creative spark.
"I feel I get a lot of my everyday stuff or mannerisms from my mom," she said, adding:
"We all, collectively, get our sense of humor from each other. We have a very specific way of joking in my family, which I love so much. And sometimes I find myself making jokes and I'm like, 'Oh my God, I sounded exactly like my mom.' …I am surrounded by a lot of really smart people who make really smart jokes without ego [sic]."
As Ella steps further into the spotlight, it's clear she's not just riding the coattails of her famous lineage. She's crafting a name and career entirely her own. Whether drawing comparisons to her parents, invoking memories of her grandmother, or earning applause for her stage and screen work, Ella is proving herself a thoughtful, grounded talent with ambition beyond the screen.
