On the E! News Instagram post, some praised her appearance, "Timeless beauty 😍." Others were more critical, including one comment that read, "That is not the skin of an 80 year old! Does she look great for her age? Yes, but this here is not natural [sic]."
Still, supporters pushed back. "Idc how much editing it took to get here, the woman is 80 and she looks phenomenal [sic]!" one user wrote.
Another added, "I really admire Dolly, but I cannot stress enough that this is not 'normal' for 80 and that there is nothing wrong with aging naturally and embracing what a regular body looks like at any age. I worry about the expectations this puts on other aging women."
Photos and videos from Parton's denim campaign show her looking better than ever following recent health challenges.

Why Dolly Parton Postponed Her Scheduled Shows
In her statement, Parton said she postponed her upcoming concerts because she had been "dealing with some health challenges," and her doctors told her she must undergo "a few procedures." She explained this would prevent her from properly rehearsing or preparing for the scheduled performances.
Her announcement marked a sharp turn from just a few months earlier, when she revealed plans for a six-show residency. Parton had originally announced the concerts in June 2025, with performances scheduled for December at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
However, those plans shifted.
In another update, Parton confirmed that the residency has been rescheduled for September 2026. Tickets remain valid for the new dates, and refunds are available. Additional instructions will be emailed to purchasers.

Although the concerts were postponed, Parton said she would continue working on other projects from her home in Nashville. She also clarified that she has no plans of "quittin' the business."
While she acknowledged the need to slow down temporarily, she expressed optimism about future work and thanked fans for their continued support.
Even amid recent health challenges, Parton continued to embody the vibrant image fans have come to expect over the years.
As reported in 2023, the singer performed during the halftime game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Commanders in Arlington, Texas.

Parton, then 77, stunned fans and viewers with her slim figure, flat stomach, and ageless beauty.
Many shared their thoughts on social media, amazed that the entertainer looked so young for her age. "She's 77 and looks 30 years younger. Respect Dolly," one fan wrote on X.
Another person said, "She's 77 and has a flatter stomach than I’ve ever had in my entire life. Love her." Someone else remarked, "She's 77 and Dolly Parton just showed Madonna how it's done." A different viewer chimed in, "She's 77 🤯."

The "Islands in the Stream" songstress was undoubtedly aging like fine wine, as highlighted by her outfit. She donned a cropped blue button-down top, tied in the middle to expose her midsection, along with a cropped white vest featuring blue star details and matching shorts.
Parton appeared in high spirits during the performance and wore her signature long blonde hair styled in what looked like a high half ponytail.

At the time, the acclaimed singer said she had no plans of slowing down as a performer and hoped to continue sharing her talent for as long as possible. She added that she would keep working in the industry as long as her health allowed.
Dolly Parton also shared that she stays youthful by maintaining a positive mindset and not dwelling on aging. I don't have time to age," she said. "That's really kind of my line, but it's true."
