Singer D4vd Considered a Suspect in Connection With the Death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, Teen Found Dead in His Tesla
Investigators are examining a teen's death after her body was found in a 22-year-old singer-songwriter's car, raising questions about his level of cooperation.
D4vd, whose real name is David Burke, is being investigated in connection with the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, the missing teen whose body was discovered inside his impounded vehicle in Los Angeles.

The 20-year-old musician is being considered a suspect in the case, according to a source familiar with the investigation, as reported by ABC News on November 15, 2025.
Authorities discovered Hernandez's remains on September 8, after responding to a foul odor coming from a Tesla at a tow yard near Mansfield Avenue and Romaine Street in Hollywood. The car had been abandoned on a public street and towed two days earlier.
Police sources said the body had been dismembered, placed inside a bag, and stored in the front trunk. Due to the level of decomposition, the exact cause of death has not been determined, but investigators believe the killing occurred earlier this year.
Hernandez, who had a history of running away, was last reported missing in April, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office. She last contacted her family by phone in late May, then disappeared.
D4vd has refused to cooperate with investigators, despite conflicting statements released by his public relations team.
At the time the body was discovered, D4vd was on tour with a scheduled stop in Los Angeles on September 20. That show — along with the rest of the tour — was canceled shortly afterward.
In mid-September, detectives collected evidence, including a computer, from a Hollywood Hills property where D4vd had recently stayed. The lease had ended early, and the home had been vacated, according to reports.
On September 23, public records show D4vd transferred ownership of his Cypress, Texas home to his mother. Just days earlier, deputies had responded to a false swatting call at the same address.
No arrests have been made. The case remains under active investigation.
