Kevin Spacey, once hailed as one of Hollywood's finest, has come forward with a chilling update on his current life — and it's a far cry from the glitz and glamour he once embodied.

'Everything Is in Storage': From Hollywood Darling to Drifter

In a raw new interview with The Telegraph, the "House of Cards" star revealed that he is no longer tied to any home. After living in Baltimore for 12 years, Spacey says he now lives "where the work is."

"I literally have no home, that's what I'm attempting to explain," he said, adding that "everything is in storage." After being hit with multiple sexual assault allegations, Spacey's once-soaring career collapsed almost overnight.

And the financial toll? Devastating. "The costs over these last seven years have been astronomical. I've had very little coming in and everything going out," Spacey explained.

He's been staying in hotels, Airbnbs, and anywhere work takes him. "I hope at some point, if things continue to improve, that I’ll be able to decide where I want to settle down again," he said.

'It Was Discussed': The Spectre of Bankruptcy

Asked if he came close to declaring bankruptcy, Spacey didn't deny it. "It was discussed, but it never got to that point," he shared. His fall from grace began in 2017, when actor Anthony Rapp accused Spacey of sexually assaulting him in 1986, when Rapp was only 14 years old.

At the time, Spacey was riding high as the star of Netflix's hit drama "House of Cards." But the allegations sparked a firestorm — and he was dropped from the show almost instantly.

Soon, more men came forward, alleging misconduct. Although Spacey was ultimately acquitted of all charges in 2023, the damage was irreversible.

'Rear-View Mirror': Spacey Speaks on the Scandal and Survival

Despite the legal victories, Spacey admits that rebuilding his life has been nothing short of harrowing. Still, he says he's found strength in adversity.

"You get through it," he said of being homeless. "In weird ways, I feel I'm back to where I first started, which is I just went where the work was."

He now says the scandal is in his "rear-view mirror" — though Hollywood has yet to welcome him back. But, he insists, he was never abandoned by those who truly mattered.

"Now, there may be individuals that made decisions that I don't think were fair [...] but my friends, my colleagues, my family — I have not felt isolated at all," he shared.

'Why Was I Such a Good Villain?': The Actor's Deep Self-Reckoning

Spacey says his years in exile forced him to reflect on his life — and the uncomfortable truths behind his public image.

"Why was I such a good villain, why did I fit so well into a narrative that was out there?" he pondered. "Some of those were important questions for me to ask, to take accountability for where I made mistakes."

Known for being notoriously private, the actor revealed how his secrecy may have contributed to the public's willingness to condemn him. "I was secretive, no one knew about me, I protected my privacy. It was Fort Knox. People didn't really know me, so it was very easy for people to stick a lot of labels on me that just were not true," he said.

'I Was Not Kind to Myself': The Hidden Battle With His Identity

Spacey spoke candidly about how his own self-denial shaped not only his personal life but the narrative surrounding his downfall.

"I have recognised that I did certain things, I made certain decisions that I thought was protecting my work as an actor, but in fact it was also protecting the issues that I had about myself, that I was not kind to myself about," he said.

The conversation turned to his sexuality, which Spacey was forced to address publicly after Rapp's allegations in 2017. "It's the way it happened. But it's not the way it was planned," he remarked.

He explained that he had already been on a path toward coming out, but the circumstances spiralled out of control. "It happened in a way that was very unexpected, and you virtually have very little you can do to try and control it and stop it," he continued.

'I Am Free': A Man Rebuilt — But Still in the Shadows

Seven years on, Spacey claims he's finally at peace — despite losing his career, home, and public standing. "I think that I'm now so grateful that I've been given an opportunity to re-examine, to question and to move to a new place in my life where I have nothing to hide," he shared.

"I am free from a lot of things I was not free from that were my own issues," he continued. Still, Spacey remains a Hollywood pariah — and whether the industry is willing to forgive, let alone forget, remains to be seen.
