The appointment marked Trump's fourth public hospital visit since taking office. Landers also noted that the president has undergone three medical checkups in about 13 months, along with a recent dental appointment in Florida.

She pointed out that Trump is the oldest president ever inaugurated, even as he and his aides continue emphasizing his energy and stamina during public appearances.

Photos taken outside Walter Reed in Bethesda, Maryland, showed Trump seated inside his vehicle as his motorcade departed the Maryland medical center following the appointment.

The lengthy visit quickly sparked speculation online, and Trump later shared his own brief assessment of the checkup.

Trump Speaks Out Following Latest Medical Evaluation

Not long after leaving the hospital, Trump shared an upbeat update on Truth Social. He said:

According to Kuhlman, advanced age would be the biggest concern, adding, "I'd worry about cardiovascular fitness, cancer, and making sure they don't have neurodegenerative disease."

The former White House physician also recommended treadmill testing and heart scans to evaluate cardiovascular health. He noted that Trump has a lower cancer risk in some areas because he has long described himself as a nonsmoker and nondrinker.

During the PBS segment, Landers also asked Kuhlman about images showing Trump with swollen ankles and bruising on his hands.

Landers later said: "Dr. Kuhlman said that those can be benign explanations as for why the president may have those swollen ankles and those bruising on his hands, but he's concerned about the transparency around that and maybe that the public is not getting all the information that they need."

As previously reported, Trump had earlier offered several explanations for the bruising repeatedly seen on his hands, including aspirin use and accidentally bumping into a table.

The president added, "They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I don't want thick blood pouring through my heart. I want nice, thin blood pouring through my heart. Does that make sense?"

Still, the president himself appeared somewhat unconcerned by the details. When asked by reporters what part of his body the MRI had covered, Donald Trump casually responded, "No idea, it was just an MRI."
