Less than two weeks ago, Zara — former Olympian and daughter of Princess Anne — joined her mother for a rare joint appearance in London. But it wasn't just the cause that captured public attention... it was what she did after.

As Princess Anne exited first, Zara trailed behind... but not without a snack in hand.

Yes — Zara was caught on camera munching on a biscuit as she made her way to their waiting vehicle, then scurrying to the other side in a dash that left viewers chuckling — and swooning.

Princess Anne and Zara: A Royal Bond Steeped in Duty... and Humor

The rare mother-daughter outing was praised by the Daily Mail's own Diary Editor, Richard Eden, who called it a royal treat.

"Personally, I would like to see Zara taking on more public duties in the future," he said, noting the striking similarity between Zara and her mother's work ethic — and their quiet but powerful impact.

Eden suggested that Zara, like Princess Anne before her, could become a "huge help" to Prince William when he takes the throne. "Look at the way that Queen Elizabeth was supported so well by her own cousins, such as the Duke of Kent, who is still working at the age of 90," he said.

Though Zara doesn't undertake many royal duties, her presence packs a punch when she does. According to Tatler, her impact is "on par" with some of the Firm's most senior royals.

'It's Got Worse': Zara Speaks Out About Brexit's Impact on Horses

At the conference, Zara delivered a passionate speech urging fellow equestrians to consider the world "through the horse's eyes."

She didn't hold back when discussing the post-Brexit changes in equine transportation, saying bluntly:

"Our travel time for horses and their welfare has definitely gone downhill. I know people are doing it less and less now because it's such hard work. It's more stressful on the horses than it used to be. It's got worse."

Zara Steps Out Again To Support Prince William — But Still Values Privacy

Days later, Zara made another public appearance — this time at the 2025 Tusk Conservation Awards to support her cousin Prince William. The outing delighted royal fans, many of whom are clamoring for Zara to take on a more visible role.

But behind the scenes, Zara's royal life looks very different — and that's entirely by design.

'I Commend Her On That': Why Zara Feels Grateful She Wasn't Given a Title

Zara has previously said she feels "very lucky" her mother chose not to give her or her brother Peter royal titles at birth. Princess Anne famously turned down HRH titles for her children to give them a normal life built on their own merits — and Zara couldn't be more grateful.

"From my point of view, I was obviously very lucky that my mother didn't give us any titles so I really commend her on that," she said. "We were very lucky that we got to do it a bit our own way."

From Royal Rebel to Dedicated Mother: The Legacy She's Building

Now a mother of three, Zara is determined to pass that same grounded mindset on to her own children — and instill the "great work ethic" her family is famous for.

"Now, my brother and my cousins love to go back and do the same things, and I hope that our children have the same experiences that we did when we were growing up," she shared. "You don't really appreciate that until you're older and you've got kids."
