During her marriage to taxi driver Mark Croft, to whom she was wed from 2007 to 2011, Kerry's substance use spiralled significantly. "Our relationship was just about coke," she said after their split. "We'd have three-day sessions and not eat." Croft is the father of her children, Heidi and Max.

The physical consequences of that period eventually became impossible to ignore. By late 2023, a doctor informed the then-43-year-old that her nose was on the verge of collapse, a direct result of the structural damage caused by years of substance use.

"[The doctor] went, 'Your nose is collapsing'. So he said, 'Do you want us to fix it for you?' And I started crying because it's a massive 360 from where I was to where I am now," she told her 825,000 Instagram followers.

She was quick to make clear what this was and was not. "It's not a vanity thing at all — it's a health thing because if I don't have it done, it could collapse," she told OK! Magazine.

What followed was an eight-hour operation unlike anything she had faced before.

Surgeons at Pall Mall Cosmetics performed a septo-rhinoplasty, using a piece of bone taken directly from Kerry's own rib cage to reconstruct the nose from within.

For Kerry, it was not simply a cosmetic correction. It was a physical reconstruction after years of damage, rebuilding a nose that had begun to collapse.

Her surgeon, Mr. Raghavan, also performed a brow lift and upper blepharoplasty during the same period. Kerry described seeing her new face for the first time as completely overwhelming. "I burst into tears," she revealed.

She had been clean for 14 years by the time she had the surgery. "I was using drugs as a coping mechanism, and I don't regret it," she said. "I've had many good times on drugs. I can't regret it. I've got to accept it and move on from it. It is what it is."

The nose was not her only procedure of recent years. In August 2025, Kerry had her fourth breast augmentation, an uplift alongside new implants.

Just two months later, she revealed she had ruptured the tissue as a result of not resting adequately after the operation. A second procedure would be needed to repair the damage.

Those close to Kerry were frank about why she simply could not stop.

"Kerry's a workaholic and she doesn't want to ever be broke like she was before," a source close to the star told the Daily Mirror. "She should be resting, like all the doctors have told her to, but as she says, she's got a big family and bills to pay. If you know Kerry, she's never going to sit still."

Her five children, Molly, 24, Lilly-Sue, 22, Heidi, 18, Max, 17, and DJ, 11, were said to share those concerns. "They don't want her to have surgery," the source said. "She's a mum and, you know, with every anaesthetic there is a risk."

Kerry’s representative made it clear that she has no plans for further surgery at this time and would not be swayed by outside influence, emphasizing that she makes her own decisions.
