He was adored by fans on Storage Wars for his laid-back persona. After he left the show, many fans have wondered what he has been doing and what keeps him busy.

Barry Weiss was known as “the collector” on Storage Wars, which premiered in 2010. On the show, as suggested by Closer Weekly, Weiss was not the type to be competitive. His interest was more focused on collecting cool stuff and driving luxurious cars.

Fans loved him so much that in 2014, he was given his own spin-off show, Barry’d Treasure. However, the show was axed during the same year. Since then, he has been out of the spotlight with the public speculating that he may have already passed away.

Moreover, he also stopped updating his official Twitter account which sparked more worry for his avid followers.

Putting the claims to rest, Closer Weekly revealed that Weiss is very much alive and have been spending his free time doing the things he loved.

In July 2017, TMZ had an interview with the reality star and he shared that he is back to doing his previous job which was being a “professional slacker.”

Talking about the show, Weiss expressed that he had a fun time but he confessed he’s had his fill and wanted to leave the show while it was still at its peak.

It was obvious to the viewers that Weiss was not entirely invested in the competition aspect of the series and only wanted to have fun.

While he was on the show, a lot of the viewers wondered why Weiss seemed to just buy whatever he wished to purchase. He bought rare and expensive cars, as well as buying storage lockers filled with stuff to add to his collection.ome fans claimed he might have been a millionaire. Weiss revealed that he had an import-export business of fruits and vegetables with his brother. The business was first started out by his grandfather.

When he got tired of handling the business, he sold the company for a hefty amount, which is what he had been using to purchase his toys and such.

As of later, Weiss has no projects on television, however, he admitted that it has always been his dream to do a motorsport show or travel the world.
