CNN star is pregnant with her baby #3 'We are so excited for number three'

The Burnett family is set to make their family a little bigger.

As reported in an article published by Closer Weekly, a representative of CNN news anchor Erin Burnett confirmed that she and her husband, David Rubulotta, are expecting their third child.

The representative released a public statement on behalf of the couple on Monday, March 12. The couple seemed excited about having a fifth member join their growing family.

41-year-old Burnett and 47-year-old Rubulotta got married on December 21, 2012. The couple already has two children, four-year-old son Nyle Thomas Burnett Rubulotta and a two-year-old daughter Colby Isabelle Rubulotta.

The OutFront anchor told People that she believed that three is a lucky number since she was one of three siblings in her own family.

The news anchor is known to express her happiness about her pregnancy news. In 2013, after she and her husband Rubulotta had welcomed their first child, Nyle, Burnett had gushed about experience motherhood for the first time.

She had said that the couple was very lucky to be blessed with Nyle. She expressed that their first time as parents was the most awe-inspiring and joyful moment of their life.

As a news anchor, Burnett covers various difficult topics on her show on CNN. She had expressed her views on topics like gun violence and war and how it affected her as a mother.

"I do think about it, on what kind of world my children will live in, and how I want it to be a place they want to explore and make their own."

Burnett revealed that her children are getting an idea of the nature of her job. She recalled the times when she talks on the phone about work and then switches to the radio for a news update.

Her son listens to the news that she plays on the radio and Burnett feels positive about the kind of exposure he has to information. She believes that this exposure will be more helpful in shaping up his critical thinking.
