2-year-old baby is missing from home at night wearing only a diaper. Police are on high alert
A two-year-old toddler from Hoisington, Kansas, went missing and police officers are conducting a door-to-door search.
Ivionna Lewis was wearing only a diaper when she disappeared on Sunday, March 18, 2018, at 10:50 pm. Her last known address was in the 400 block of Elm in Hoisington.
As reported by Faith Family America, the case is still developing, and not much information was available at the time of publishing.
It has since been revealed that Ivionna was born on April 3, 2015. She is 2 feet 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 27 pounds or 12.5 kilograms.
According to KWCH, two days passed before Ivonia was reported as missing, possibly because her mother thought she was with her father, and vice versa.
Officers spent Tuesday evening searching the area and going from door to door. Neighbors were also interviewed. An Endangered Person Advisory was issued.
Sheriff Brian Bellendir from Barton County confirmed that the search parties would 'remain in the area as long as it takes' to find Ivionna.
KWCH also posted an update on their Facebook page. The post has been viewed more than 34,000 times. Reporters contacted the grandmother for more information.
An official news statement will be released once more information is available. KWCH explained that an Amber Alert could not be issued until more details became available.
The information required is very specific and must include suspect details and profile, as well as vehicle registrations, suspect descriptions, and so forth.
The investigators are currently counting on the search parties, as well as social media platforms to raise awareness. The lead investigator begged social users to 'get her picture out there.'
