Michelle recently shared an Instagram photo and looked powerful, yet gorgeously feminine, in her colorful dress, perfectly draping her toned body.

She captioned her photo with the heartwarming reassurance that empowering girls around the world through education remained one of her biggest passions.

‘I teamed up with @Refinery29 to mark #InternationalWomensDay and to talk about my passionate commitment to empowering girls around the world through education. This will continue to be a core part of my work at the @ObamaFoundation.’

The 54-year-old Michelle isn’t only a former First Lady, but has achieved success in her own right.

She is a lawyer and writer, working at the law firm Sidley Austin during her early legal career.

This is also where she met her husband, Barack Obama.

Michelle was assigned to be Barack’s mentor, as he was a summer associate back then.

It’s reported their relationship started with a business lunch, and that Barack later impressed her at a community organization meeting.

Before Barack came along, Michelle had told her mother she would completely focus on her career.

Of course, her plans inevitably changed.

Their first date was to see ‘Do the Right Thing’, a Spike Lee movie.

Barack later said that he and Michelle were very much a case of opposites attract, as she came from a stable two-parent home, while he was more ‘adventurous’.

Of course, it must have also been Michelle’s powerful presence, and elegant and stylish demeanor, that finally stole his heart.
