Reese Witherspoon's ex-husband shares a photo showing off six-pack and tattoos while on vacation

Ryan Phiippe put on quite an eye catching display as he soaked in the sun in sunny Mexico.

Ryan Philippe spiked up the heat in Cabo, Mexico as he showcased his toned body during a recent getaway.

Standing in the sandy shores of the Mexican beach in a pair of black shorts, the 43-year-old actor displayed his well-built six-pack as well as his muscled biceps and calves.

Also visible on the actor were his extensive tattoo sprawled across one of his arms. A smaller one was also inked on his chest. In photos shared by the Daily Mail, his post-surgery scars on his leg were also evident as he was spotted walking along the beach and later kicking back to soak in the sun.

Last July, Ryan was involved in a freak accident which injured his leg. Informing his fans of his condition on Twitter, he explained breaking his leg during a family outing and that he would be needing surgery to repair it.

Due to his injury, the second season of his hit TV series ‘Shooter’ had to be shortened. But it was also confirmed in December that it would be returning for a third season.

Ryan’s latest outing is a testament to his commitment to staying fit. In 2016, he told People how important it is for him to do so.

“'I get a lot of balance and meditative peace out of being physical and exercise.”

Proving how consistent he is, he revealed,

“I’ve had the same trainer for twenty years. 'I’ve worked out with him 4-5 times a week for the last twenty years.”

Philippe was married to Reese Witherspoon for seven years from 1999 to 2006. They met in 1997 at the A-list actress’ 21st party. Two years later, they welcomed their first child, Ava. They also welcomed their second child, Deacon, in 2003.

His movie career kicked off with the films ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer,’ ‘Cruel Intentions,’ ‘Gosford Park,’ and ‘Beach and Crash.’ Just recently, he found success on television with the shows ‘Secrets and Lies’ and his latest, ‘Shooter.’
