'Dance Moms' Abby Lee Miller released from prison and stuns with her weight loss
The 51-year-old dance instructor, Abby Lee Miller, wowed fans with her weight loss feat when she was released from prison.
Miller was released on March 27, 2018, from the Federal Correctional Complex in California after having served an eight-month sentence for bankruptcy fraud.
As reported by Yahoo Entertainment, Miller surrendered herself on July 12, 2017. Upon her release, she was transferred to a halfway house in Long Beach where she'll remain till May 15.
She was initially scheduled to be released from prison in May 2018 but will serve the rest of her sentence at the halfway house.
According to Inquisitr, she will receive job-related counseling as well as financial management assistance and probable job placement.
Miller lost weight while behind bars and is looking forward to a fresh start. She had already lost more than a 100 pounds in January, saying it did wonders for her health.
She already planned several surgeries, including a tummy tuck, breast lift and the removal of excess skin. Before being incarcerated, she underwent sleeve gastrectomy.
Miller is also looking forward to returning to the spotlight and told reporters that the sky would be the limit once she is a free woman again.
She will also talk about her time behind bars and added that she 'lots and lots to say.' For now, she just admitted that some aspects of prison life were 'absolutely horrific.'
The Dance Moms celebrity described her sentence as a chance to focus on herself, even referring to the period as 'a little me-time.'
She said being a dance instructor and the director of seven seasons of Dance Moms meant her own needs were neglected while she 'put everybody else's child first.'
"Everybody else was dressed and out the door and looking perfect, and I was running around trying to find a clean towel to take a shower with."
