'I want you every day.' Arizona teacher accused of sex with student, 13, in classroom
While it is known that some people like to be in a relationship with a younger or an older person, a woman from Arizona took it to the next level.
Brittany Zamora, a 27-year-old teacher, is accused of having an ongoing sexual relationship with a 13-year-old boy from her class. Zamora is her teacher at Las Brisas Academy.
According to People, she was arrested on March 21, 2018, and was charged with two counts of molestation of a child, one count of furnishing harmful material and nine counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
In the initial court appearance on March 23, she asked the judge to be lenient with a bond as she would ‘love to go home’ with her husband. Her bond was set at $250,000.
She was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail in the custody of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. Lisa Kurtis, the Goodyear police spokeswoman, revealed that the relationship between Zamora and the boy was not a recent thing.
They had intercourse both on and off school grounds and they used to exchange naked photos. The crime was discovered thanks to an app the child’s parents installed on his phone.
It detects ‘suspicious keywords’ that the boy sends or receives and, when they confronted him and looked at his phone, they found inappropriate texts between him and the teacher, such as 'I want you every day.'
They immediately contacted the school principal and the best thing they think of was leaving the problem in the hands of the police. It is not known when Zamora will go back to the court.
Due to the fact that the boy is so young, his name was not revealed and it is very likely to keep it that way. It is also known that Zamora and her husband asked the family not to take legal actions.
Kurtis admitted that parents should always be aware of what their children do, especially online and on social media. She added that the parental monitoring apps are very important in order to prevent those kinds of situations.
