Serena Williams shares recent pic with her beautiful 7-month-old baby in pink and white bib
- Serena Williams is back to the tennis court after giving birth to her baby daughter, Alexis Olympia in September 2017, and she has been splitting her time between the games and motherhood.
- Williams lost her first game against Naomi Osaka in the Miami Open last week, but she has stated that she’s not giving up and even though she’s a bit rusty, she will keep training to go back to her old self in the court.
AmoMama was checking up on Serena Williams’ Instagram account to see how the 23-time Grand Slam champion has been doing after she was defeated by a younger competitor in her awaited comeback to the sport that made her rise to fame.
The 36-years-old tennis star has been getting a lot of attention since she announced her comeback to the tennis world after a 16-months break while she was pregnant and after giving birth to her first baby back in September.
Serena revealed in an entry written for CNN that she had some complications after giving birth and didn’t know if she would make it alive after that.
After delivering Alexis through an emergency C-section, the star suffered a pulmonary embolism that caused her intense coughing, and this made her c-section wound to get open.
When she returned to surgery, the doctors found a large hematoma in her abdomen and she had to stay in bed for the first six weeks of her motherhood experience.
She considers herself lucky, and after being able to walk around again, she started her work out routines and constant practices to be able to return to the tennis season this year.
Even though she has been a bit rusty in the matches she has played, she has revealed that the fact she has her baby waiting for her at home eases her mind whether she wins or loses.
Williams has revealed a documentary about her journey through pregnancy will be coming up on HBO next month, and in the trailer for the show, she can be heard saying:
‘When I realized that I was pregnant, I was like, ‘Oh my God. How am I going to play?’
And added:
‘I don’t know if there’s anything left for me in tennis. But I’m not done yet.’
She wrote in the caption of the video:
‘My @hbo documentary called Being Serena premieres May 2. I can't wait to share what I have been through the past year with you all. My whole life has completely changed. #beingserena’
Serena’s is set on proving everyone that a woman can be a mother and a tennis champion at all costs.
Just before sharing the trailer for the documentary, she posted a photo alongside her beautiful seven-months-old baby smiling brightly to the camera.
Alexis Olympia looks adorable in pink and white while her mom poses behind her with a surprised expression that undoubtedly made the little girl laugh.
