Pregnant dog has a big belly. After 10th pup arrives, foster mom realizes it's not the end

Even now, after several campaigns and movements have been created to adopt animals from the streets, many of them remain in difficult situations.

That was the case of Laugh Out Loud, also known as LOL, a chihuahua that was neglected in Mission, Kansas. The Unleashed Pet Rescue and Adoption group saved her and many other dogs in the same situation.

According to Faith Tap, they quickly noticed that LOL was pregnant and due any minute. Foster manager, Jessica Bennett, and the rest of the team tried to find a foster home for her quickly.

In no time, Josie Boyd and her family came to the rescue and accepted to take care of LOL and the pups that were about to be born. Soon after that, LOL went into labor, coincidentally on National Puppy Day.

Since the average amount of puppies that a chihuahua usually gives birth to is five, the family thought that the labor was done after the fifth dog got out. The truth was different, though.

LOL kept delivering pup after pup and Boyd noticed that she still looked ‘round and bulbous,’ which meant that there were more coming. At the end of the night, she had welcomed 10 little chihuahuas and Boyd thought it was over already.

The next morning, she started counting them and checking their genders. She counted eight males and three females but, of course, it didn’t make sense as she had had only ten puppies.

She counted them again and again and the result was the same: eleven dogs. The family concluded that LOL had the last one when nobody was looking. After searching on the internet, she realized that LOL broke the Guinness Book of World Records.

One of the most shocking aspects of everything is that all eleven puppies were born healthy. When they reach about 10 weeks old, they will go to their permanent foster homes to enjoy the life that any world-record pup should live.
