'Food Network' star Duff Goldman announces his engagement

The Food Network star is officially engaged to the love of his life.

Duff Goldman recently shared that he is now engaged to his girlfriend, Johnna Colbry.

43-year-old Goldman shared the news on Instagram on April 2, 2018, according to E! Online.

The pastry chef went on to recall that he had just woken up and felt like it was any other day, but when he was in the shower, he began to realize that he is absolutely in love with Colbry and that he wanted to take things to the next level.

Goldman went on to shower his now-fiancée with praises and compliments on his post.

He admitted that he had no plans in proposing to her but he said that it “just happened.” Although, he also said that he couldn’t have stopped himself even if he wanted to do so.

‘I asked her to marry me. She said yes. I cannot imagine a state of happiness that is more intense than whatever I'm feeling right now. My heart just might burst,’ Goldman wrote.

He went on to explain how much he loved Colbry.

Because it was a spur-of-the-moment thing, Goldman was not able to prepare a ring for the proposal, but he managed to make the best out of the situation and got creative.

He wrote, ‘I'm sorry I didn't have a real ring. I hope you don't mind butcher's twine, I am a chef, after all.’

Along with the heartwarming caption, Goldman shared a photo of Colbry flaunting her string ring.

As for Colbry, she also shared the news about their engagement on her Instagram profile. Much like Goldman, she also expressed her love for the pastry chef and how excited she is to be engaged to him.

A couple of Food Network stars and Goldman’s fellow chefs congratulated the couple on their engagement. One of them was Sunny Anderson, who is a co-host of The Kitchen.
