Husband & wife hear a loud knock at the door at 3am. Husband opens the door and sees a drunk man

This man was desperately looking for someone to help him under heavy rain during the night, but it wasn't the help anyone would have expected.

It was approximately 3 am when this married couple heard a loud pounding on the door. Confused, the husband went downstairs to check.

He was a little scared of all the noise, but he decided to open the door, see what was happening, and find out who would be knocking on doors that late.

When he opened the door, he saw this drunken stranger, standing in the pouring rain and asking for a "push," but the man had made his choice already.

The man was a little bit rude when he just said to the drunk man: "Not a chance, it is 3:00 in the morning!" and slammed the door behind him.

The man went back upstairs feeling tired and annoyed with the whole situation, he got back on his bed and got comfortable, trying to fall asleep again.

Right there, his wife asked him about the noise and the desperate knocking. He explained that it was only a drunk guy asking for a push.

The woman looked surprised when she asked: "Did you help him?" but the husband was completely serious. "No, I did not, it's 3 am in the morning and it's bloomin' well pouring with rain out there!" he said in a low voice.

"Well, you have a short memory," said his wife. "Can't you remember about three months ago when we broke down, and those two guys helped us?" she reminded him.

The wife told him that she thought he should help him and that he should be ashamed of himself. "God loves drunk people too you know," she then added.

The man did as he is told, got dressed, and went out into the pounding rain. "Hello, are you still there?" he called into the dark, and the drunk man said: "Yes."

"Do you still need a push?" the husband called out, and the drunk man said: "Yes," again. The husband then asked: "Where are you?"

"Over here... on the swing," replied the drunk man.
