Mom of triplets asked for help on Facebook. And town pulls together for single mother
Having children is both the most marvelous and difficult thing in the world. Giving birth to triplets while being a single mother is many times harder.
That’s the case of Hayley Arsenault, who was 25 years old when she welcomed her three boys: Hogan, Rylan, and Finn. Since she knew she was going to be a single mother of three babies, she got into full-panic mode.
As reported by Uplifting Today, she spent most of her days feeding them, changing diapers, giving baths, and cleaning them up. She managed to do it flawlessly during the first couple of months because she was on maternity leave.
When it was time for her to return to work, her panic duplicated. Using her social media, she made a desperate plea to the public that went viral in no time.
Jenny MacDougall, Alice Mokler, and Anita Arsenault – who has no relation with Hayley – are grandmothers with plenty of experience in the raising-baby area.
MacDougall pointed out that if it takes a ‘village’ to take care of a baby, she could barely image how would it be to raise three at once, which led her and the other two to help Hayley.
Mokler, Anita, and MacDougall, who happen to be sisters, got in touch with Hayley and, in no time, the babies had three more grandmothers.
One of the best aspects of it is that, since they are three sisters and three baby brothers, each woman was in charge of one baby, which means that they all got their personal grandmother.
The sisters help with food, chores, and pretty much anything else to make Hayley’s life easier.
The experience has been good not only for the mother and her babies but also for Mokler, Anita, and MacDougall as they got closer together.
‘For me, it’s a gift to come here. We chat, we compare the babies. Love every minute of it.’

Thankfully for Hayley, her parents Wendy and Billy Arsenault also help her taking care of the babies. Billy pointed out that the sisters were needed since they change about 250 diapers a week.
Hayley is deeply grateful for the action that the ‘new grannies’ have done for her. She confessed that having strangers come in and make a connection with the babies has been one of the best experiences in her life.
