Carrie Underwood shares a photo with barely visible scar for the first time since scary injury
Carrie Underwood has been hiding her face for months following a tragic injury that happened in her own home.
However, it seems Carrie has stopped hiding and has chosen to accept her new face.
The singer showed off her facial scar in a new Instagram photo showing the country star in the studio.
Carrie showed her 7 million followers that she is finally embracing her new look and has realized that it most likely happened for a reason.
The former 'American Idol' treated her fans to a photo snapped inside a recording studio, delighting them as she prepares for her newest album.
While Carrie's photo did not include a caption, people already saw it as a teaser for what's to come. Her last record was released in 2015 and was called 'Storyteller'.
There has been a lot of speculation regording the facial injury she endured last November when she tripped and fell in the front porch of their house. The cut the singer got was so deep that she had to get 40 stitches in her face to repair the damage. As if that was not traumatic enough, she also had a broken wrist.
While recovering, she avoided making public appearances. However, she has been sharing photos of the right side of her face, which made fans speculate that her scar was on her left cheek.
Indeed, the photo clarified that her thin scar runs from her cheekbow all the way down to her chin.
