Baby was found alone in a truck bed. Nurse looked at him and realized it was God's sign
Abandoning a helpless baby is probably one of the worst crimes a parent can commit. Baby Charlie was rescued just in the nick of time.
His rescuers don't know when baby Charlie was born, who his parents are or why they abandoned him. He was rescued in Florida wearing just a onesie.
As reported by Share Tap, he was left in the back of a truck while temperatures plummeted. With no blanket, Charlie only had a onesie and a diaper to keep him warm.
A passerby heard his faint cries coming from the vehicle and followed the sound to investigate. When the student realized Charlie had been abandoned, he immediately called the police.
Hardened officers who arrived at the scene were overcome with emotion when they saw Charlie. If the student didn't discover him, he would not have made it through the night.
The low temperatures would surely have taken his life. The officers immediately arranged for baby Charlie to receive medical attention.
He was taken to a local hospital where he was treated by a respiratory therapist called Lorraine. She said he was 'cold, hungry and wet' when she took him into her care.
It was a miracle that he survived on his own for as long as he did, and Lorraine showered him with much-needed attention, care, and love.
Lorraine battled breast cancer twice, and cannot have any children of her own. She raised her husband's children as her own but had never cared for a baby.
Yet, something stirred in her and a special bond formed between Lorraine and Charlie. She wanted to raise him and care for him with all her might.
The process of adopting Charlie was tedious, but Lorraine would do it all over again if she had a choice. Thanks to Lorraine, Charlie now has a loving family to care for him.
