Man thought he found 5 abandoned puppies, but they turned out to be a totally different species
When most people are digging around in the garden, they expect to find things like weeds and lots of dirt, as they don't expect to find anything really valuable.
But that wasn't the case at all with Craig Mcgettrick and his coworker, as both men work hard as garbage removers in England.
According to Life Buzz, they were doing what they usually do at the job, but as Mcgettrick was shifting through some junk, he discovered something amazing.
According to The Dodo, they came across an old mattress and when they lifted it, they found something quite unexpected, five tiny puppies.
After finding the abandoned puppies, Mcgettrick wasn't sure what to do. Then he and his co-workers decided to take the puppies to save them.
Mcgettrick and his partner both thought they were puppies. Either that or they were kittens, but it was something a little more complicated than that.
"Those were probably the only two options I knew of. We thought someone had dumped them knowing we were going to remove rubbish," Mcgettrick said.
According to Little Things, Mcgettrick put the lovely puppies into a cardboard box with a towel and took them to an animal rescue center.
Before he dropped the animals off, Mcgettrick posted photos on Facebook, which eventually got to Martin Hemmington, founder of the National Fox Welfare Society.
Hemmington explained that the "puppies" were actually fox cubs and then reached out to the shelter to make sure that they could get sent back to the wild.
They made a plan, in which they would return them to the same spot and wait for the cub's mother. After waiting for some time, the mother appeared on the scene and some hours later, she had taken every single one of her babies.
