Keith Urban finally confirms swirling suspicions about his music future
The country music star is finally revealing the details his fans have been waiting for.
Country Music Family reported that Keith Urban announced important updates about his latest musical project.
He had released multiple singles and announced a tour. But fans were waiting for news about Keith Urban’s latest album.
The country singer first announced his new album, Graffiti U, in late 2017. The first single from it was debuted in November.
Fans also got to hear two singles from the album and learned that Urban was plotting a full-stadium tour.
Urban took to social media to announce big details about the new album. He posted a photo of the album’s artwork and revealed the release date and track listing for his 9th studio album.
Graffiti U will be available for the fans to purchase from April 27, 2018. It will feature 13 full-length tracks including Parallel Line, Coming Home, and his critically acclaimed song, Female.
He explained the meaning behind the album’s title saying that the sound of the words was important for him. His albums such as Ripcord and Fuse too denoted a certain kind of energy in the words.
“Graffiti to me felt very uninhibited, artistic, liberated expression. Graffiti to me is a blank canvas and pure artistic expression upon that,” he said.
Urban will then take his album on the road a couple of months later. He has planned a 58-city Graffiti U World Tour 2018 starting in St. Louis, MO, on June 15. He will make stops in Nashville, Denver, Philadelphia, Chicago, New Orleans, Dallas, etc and will also perform in Canada for 10 days.
He will be accompanied by country pop singer and songwriter, Kelsea Ballerini. He has collaborated with several artists for his latest album. His single, Coming Home, also features Julia Michaels.
He said that he has been “full-on writing, recording, collaborating, and creating with some incredibly talented people” for the album.
