A 7-year-old girl realized that her school-issued reading book had once been in the possession of a great celebrity.

Marley Parker received her copy of school-issued reading textbook - the one that is handed over from student to student of different batches - and contains the names of each student who ever possessed them.

According to Liftable, the seven-year-old was in total disbelief when she turned the cover page of her reading book and looked at the list of the names of the student, who had ever received it.

On the second row of the list, the name was clearly written, 'Blake Shelton.'

It became obvious to everyone that the reading book that Parker received had also been handed over to the famous country icon, Shelton, in 1982.

After discovering the surprising thing, Parker's mother, Shelly Bryan, quickly took a snapshot of the list along with her daughter and shared it on social media.

However, no matter how elated she was, she also opened up about her grievance that her daughter's school was handing her textbooks that went as far back as the 80's.

'Marley is EXCITED that her “new” reader belonged to Blake Shelton, but I am EMBARRASSED!!!! I’m 40 and these people are my age!!!' the source quoted Parker as writing on her Facebook page.

The book that had been issued to Parker was Look Away: Keys to Reading, which had been assigned to Shelton in 1982. As the singer is now 41 years of age, it was quite clear just how old the textbook was.

Shelley explained that she would have never used books that were 40 years old when if she were in school. So she was a bit surprised that her daughter was having to do it.

On the bright side, she revealed that Parker has been really happy with the reading book assigned to her and is clutching it with pride.
